I'll never forget as a kid, seeing and hearing Jerry Vale on 60s TV. Ed Sullivan, Jonny Carson and the MDA telethons. He was reaching out to folks like me more than the better known crooners of the day and to me his unique voice and stage presentation were the equal of any of them. What a special talent and wonderful man.

My good friend was a drummer and about 35 years ago, there was a benefit at a Synagogue in Deal NJ. Jerry Vale was the main entertainment , with my friends backup band. He told me ,"At the end of the night, Jerry Vale complimented each member, Had an excellent smooth voice and very professional. He was a true gentleman, very down to earth, gracious and one of a kind".
