It's a sad day to be a Mountaineer 😢!! West Virginia, WVU Mountaineers and the NBA world have lossed a legend!! 'Zeke from Cabin Creek' aka 'Mr. Clutch' & 'The Logo', Jerry West has passed 😢😪 West was born into a poor household in Chelyan, West Virginia, on May 28, 1938. He was the fifth of six children of Cecil Sue West, a housewife, and Howard Stewart West, a coal mine electrician.

R.I.P. Jerry West. So sorry that my good friend and one of your closest friends beat you in that game. I hope there is fishing in Heaven like there is on Earth for you and your buddy Darrall Imhoff.

“Amazing…every word in that sentence was wrong.” I’m a long time WVU fan and have been dying to see this game for years! Jerry was a one of a kind, great on both sides of the basketball, and truly a great friend and mentor to many. May he RIP and forever be remembered as the NBA logo.

@@SPCORVINE this is not the place for this conversation. It’s disrespectful at best. Jerry West has passed away. One of the greatest basketball players on and off the court. The people who played with Jerry played with people that played with the next generation and the next so Jerry played with people who played with people who are on the court today. Same lineage. Why do you think so many modern basketball players respect him. Look at Shaq’s comments and many others. Shameful what you are doing here.

@@FishingwithTyBaker Why does it matter that he passed away? I never disrespected him or his career I’m just saying I’m an average D1 high school player and the game has evolved so much since his era that he wouldn’t know what a hesi is. Didn’t mean to be disrespectful
