言承旭的真/善/美性格是與生俱來的。感謝他的媽媽給了他一個完美的外表，還要谢謝她對兒子的良好家教，使他成長得如此陽光和善良。但也很心疼他小時候的經歷，我也是個單親媽媽且身同感受，我女兒六岁時就失去了父愛，這種痛苦與自悲是常人難以體會的。我也是靠着一台缝衣機在家中一邊賺錢養家一邊陪伴着孩子，回想那些酸苦的日子使人泪奔。所以我能體會阿旭為什麼一提到媽媽就眼泪夺框而出。穷人的孩子早當家在媽媽的内心是不情願的(写到這裡我也一直在流泪)，每個母親都希望给孩子最好的教育和正常的生活，但往往事與願違。不過這種瓌境中長大的孩子多數都能在自强不息中長大，艰苦的歷練使他們更懂得珍惜和分享。很幸運地我女兒(和阿旭年龄相仿)如今也成為了一家上市公司的高管，還擁有了一個幸福的家庭，且對我這個含辛如苦把她带大的母親十分孝順，這也是上天對我和旭 媽最好的回報。旭：如果往事不堪回首請釋懷吧，不要把過去那千斤重担老背在身上，做人要懂得輕装上陣才能更好地前行。並希望你快點找到一個能理解你/愛你到骨子裡伴侶，你的努力和孝順我們都感受到了，愛你呵！❤❤❤❤❤❤

Unfortunatly don't understand his language but due to some comments I presume Jerry Yan is talking about his past and how poor his family were. Don't worry to much about it, Jerry Yan, nothing wrong of beeing poor. You have everything now , beeing such a great actor, model and singer. Don't take attention to what some reporters say, because what they want is to sale fake news about you in order to get money. I am just thinking about the portuguese football player CR7. He also come from a very poor family, look at him now... he worked very hard to be sucesseful and he is. He also loves his family and his mom and by now all his family are wealthy due to him. He also helped the people who helped him when he was starving for food. He said that on an intervieux to a very well known english reporter. Mr. Jerry Yan, please, head up and do your mavellous work which you have been doing up to now. Yes , look after your mom because she is too precious. Take care of yourself and still act the way you do. I have seen a lot of your series but impressed by Loving , Never Forgetting, which I have watched hundreds of times and still do in August 2022. Counting your lucky stars also , meteor garden and others. However the first one mentioned here is too precious to forget because there is a lot of lessons to take out from that amazing serie. Although I don't have a clue what Jerry is saying in this interview..it's clearly very emotional. Jerry exhibits as a very caring,sensitive and emotional man. He wears his emotions on his sleeve. I know very limited information about his personal life and upbringing but it appears he had a very difficult life as a child and took on the responsibility of caring for his mother/family. I wish for him, emotional freedom from his childhood experiences so that he can move forward. He does great work, my favorite drama is " Loving Never Forgetting" as the character Lee Zhongmou head of Lee Corporation. Please keep on making more of these types of tv Dramas, Jerry..You're great in them. An American 🇺🇸 fan.

He spoke about his youth, and how he had to work at a young age, alongside school, and how he didn't have the opportunities that many other more average or well-off families had, he didn't have the time to pursue piano which he had an interest in, or even the resources to go to college. He uses the term "zi bei" -- inferiority -- to describe how he feels/felt in comparison to the childhood that others had. He feels a responsibility to his mum, he remembers how his mum worked terribly hard to bring him and his sister up. He talks about having been pushed into work, and eventually his acting (career), that it was something he had to do, to make ends meet. This is an old interview, and I think Jerry has evolved as a person and actor, he did look like a man burdened by the circumstances of his youth and childhood, it might also explain some of the anguish he revealed about how his relationship with Lin Chiling ended. The interviewer says, "You give me the impression that you're a person without a home" going by the contents of his bag! He drags around all his stuff, she said, as if he "has no sense of security". Jerry's 2 years older than I am, and I first saw him on the Taiwanese gem, Meteor Garden in 2001 =) I've felt this draw towards him ever since! Even though I don't like most of the TV shows he's been in, especially the made in China ones, I think his vulnerability draws me in. His sentimentality is also on display when he reveals the contents of his backpack. Plus he is HOT, even now 20 years after this interview =P

I think he is romantic, sentimental and vulnerable. Also love that he is still honest, kind and reserved. If I were in his shoes, I would go to fulfill the voids I missed before, such as college, instruments, now that money is not an issue. I think Jerry Yan has a more classic look than Kimura Takuya, but KT is a lot tougher and more confident. Wish he could let go his emotional baggage and really enjoy his own success.
