We deeply appreciate the video showing your wonderful experience, and we are grateful that our DJI drones were there to capture this memorable moment during your trip. Regarding the DJI Avata 2 crash, we recommend conducting a thorough pre-flight check before flying again to ensure that all drone components are fully functional. In the event of any hardware damage, we kindly ask that you send the drone in for repair. Thank you for your cooperation.

As an fpv pilot, the avata 2 is defenitely not the best or most capable off the shelf fpv drone, but still quite good. Too bad that we didn't get to witness its full potential as you used the motion controller which cannot fly in manual mode. Highly recommend you to get the dji fpv controller so you can fly the drone as its designed to. Great video btw!

If you had that much fun with FPV, you should try it with the FPV controller for the Avata 2 and try again. You'll really love it. Your comment that you always need to be moving forward is remedied by the better controller. Also the 60MPH is only accessible in the 'locked' manual mode flight which I wouldn't recommend to a beginner of FPV (and you can't unlock this with the motion controller either)

Great combo video Zack!! Was interesting seeing what the EV Hummer can do, and the different steering and driving modes. I have been curious about the FPV drones for a while, and this was a very informative look. Those were some solid hits the drone took, and I was impressed at how uscathed it was. Any idea how fast the Hummer was going when you head-on hit it? Did you go back to see where exactly you hit? That first attempt early on, I thought for certain the drone had been run over, but no tire marks. Made small, and durable. Thank you for yet another fantastic and informative video. I like your composition method. Different is always interesting.

Pretty sure with the thumb stick on the Avata 2 motion controller you can fly sideways (and maybe even backwards). But because it only gimbals up and down, your view will be tilted while going sideways (as it would with any other normal FPV drone).

DJI Care refresh is basically mandatory with this drone. It's built in a way that you need to pay for a refresh to replace parts that would cost 15 or 20 dollars on any other FPV. I'm not complaining, because it will allow me to focus on flying and having fun. If I want to go deeper into the hobby I'll build something down the line. The community seems very helpful in that regard.

This drone footage, and some of the other footage I've seen from other content creators who are also playing with this drone, just makes me think back to Return of the Jedi and the speeder bike chase sequence. Back in the day, to film that background plates for those scenes, the visual effects guys walked with a heavy Steadycam rig taking one frame every second. Today, they could probably film all of the needed background imagery in a single day.
