Wow a company that actually labels them water soluble! As I found out a few days ago that all pastels are water soluble & most pastel packaging doesn’t mention working them with water, something most products do mention. But it’s seen more as a technique I think in the art world, I was shocked that I had never heard of this & never tried it until by a happy accident & then it seems it’s a well known technique. I’m just happy to have something new to explore with pastels & compressed charcoal too ! 👍🏼😁

i love jerry's i have so much fun with everything i've bought either online orin the brick and mortar store here in providence ri, i've spent a lot but i've saved so much more , especially during the anniversary sale , i've received such quality items that i almost exclusively shop at jerry's for my art needs ( and wants lol), i was wondering if this brand was water soluble and now i know yayyyy!!!!! i love water soluble items as well as watercolor , i spent over an hour in the store the other day scoping out the sales and deals again lot of materials for such good prices

What kind of paper would you recommended using with these when you’re using them as wet media ?

Thank you for contacting us Aria. Watercolor paper, mixed media paper, canvas paper, or even illustration boards are all great options when working with water soluble pastels. Some artists prefer to use cold press watercolor paper or mixed media paper that has a bit of tooth to it.

do these dry permanent after using with water?

Thank you for reaching out to ask this question Deborah. The pigment is water-soluble, so it can always be reactivated to some extent with water. If you are concerned about the permanence of your work and protecting it from water, you could apply an isolation layer to protect the painting as outlined in this article from Golden. goldenpaints.com/technicalinfo/technicalinfo_varnwatercolor

@@JerrysartaramaArtSupply i did buy from schminke a medium called aqua fix which is suppose to make watercolors waterproof after dried any idea if this works? i also just broke down and bought the 72 color inktense blocks, i've worked with trying so hard to make sure that worked with a 12 color set before i broke down and got them , i have the 72 color pencil set but from the woman who painted the cover of the newer branding or art work anyway, that just a too hard of line into the paper can almost just reactivate that area which defeats my purposes
