Enjoyed your video. Love your Jerseys. I just picked up 4 Blue Jersey girls and absolutely love them. So docile and pretty. I will be looking for a boy aka Rooster lol.

I have to keep my chickens contained 24/7 in a coupe and wire run with a top on it like I said 24/7 because I have dogs that would make a chicken dinner in under 15 seconds as well as Hawks and owls in the area my coop does not move it is not on Wheels and I prefer a coop to be big enough that I can walk into it and collect the eggs I do not like outside nest boxes I'm afraid that when you lift the little trap door to collect the eggs all the chickens would fly out and be dog food.

I have a question would a black Jersey Giant physically hurt a regular size chicken such as a black astronaut if the rooster tried to mate with the regular size chicken what the Jersey Giant rooster be too heavy and squash the regular size black asterol because I plan on having those two breeds as my next block and I wanted to mix breed them and hopefully they can hatch out babies I don't know so I'm indecisive if I want to get any roosters and if the black Giant would be too heavy for the regular size check would a black Australorp rooster be able to meet mate with a black Jersey Giant female or would it be too small to get up on top of her

Excellent question! We have successfully bred our big Jersey giant to our mix breed flock.. black austrolorp included! We wanted to try this cross too in hopes of creating a heavier foraging bird. It worked! We love our cross breeds with jerseys x austrolorp and jersey x lavendar orpington! However, they are a heavy big bird so you will need to keep an eye on your roosters spurs. If they get to long it is very easy for the bigger rooster to cut up the smaller hens.... as far as the austrolorp rooster breeding with Jersey hens....they have no problem what so ever mounting them big Ole girls. They don't run as fast either so the roosters job is actually easier...lol... we so appreciate you watching! Thank you for the great question! Best of luck in your breeding endevours!

@@melissawareing5021 thank you so much you're the first one that answered my question I've asked other farms . You helped me figure out which rooster to get I am going to get the two breeds black Jersey Giant and black Australorp and I'm going to go with a black Australorp rooster. Thank you so much again.

Do you have any hatching eggs for sale from Lucky?
@melissawareing5021 Жыл бұрын
I'm sure her eggs are fertile! MR DAPHINE loves her ❤️...however we don't do isolation breeding and keep all our ladies together....I don't think I could tell which big Ole egg is hers...lol. they all like to use the same 3 boxes to lay...lol we do sell eggs by the dozen locally but we do not currently ship eggs.

Hi . Do you sell chicks ? Actually i want to import some some ring birds of different hen breeds like bantam,silky and Yokohama from your country. Can you help me regarding this matter? Actually i want some breeders cell number so he can manage some breeds for me.Thanks a lot if you do help me
@melissawareing50212 жыл бұрын
We currently do not ship chicks. I can imagine shipping live birds overseas could be complicated and at this time I am not aware of any local hatcheries that do so. Wish you the best of luck. Thank you for watching!
