Great video brother! Definitely one of my absolute favorite places to fish. Big fish, crystal water, and no other fisherman.

Thank ya brother! This made trip #2. No other place like it and great folks up there as well. It was nice not playing pinball on the water with other boats

@@BoltFinAtics it amazes me every time. Even on weekends the place is empty as far as Striper boats anyway. Tons of moored boats and stinky Lobster boats, but that’s it. I can’t figure it out.

@@BoltFinAtics This was our first trip up there. Joe was only 18 and got to see the southern style for live bait Stripers 😁😁😁😉😉. Great kid, Great family. We should shoot something together soon. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3K5l5mHjbice5o

What pound test leader do you use when live lining Mack’s, without any rocks around?

Hello, I love your KZbin videos s. I would also like to visit Jodrey State Fish Pier Gloucester, MA for the exciting experience. I was wondering if you knew the timeframe for mackerel fishing at Jodrey State Fish Pier. Please, let me know!

Is that a treble hook I see??
@BoltFinAtics3 жыл бұрын
We were on a commercial vessel for hire. Otherwise we would have had to use circle hooks. Rules are different in each state so make sure to check out what the requirements in your state. I have promoted using sabiki rigs in Virginia and then found that in some states there is a maximum hook amount per line. We always do our part to protect these beautiful fish so the next generation can have the same opportunity

Is it better to use a bait runner reel
@BoltFinAtics3 жыл бұрын
Whit swears by them. I found that trolling at 3mph worked great. Allowed time for the fish to take the bait without feeling tension

What do you have on the bottom of your sabiki?

Its a 2 or 3 ounce bank sinker. Helps keep it vertical when on the move

@@BoltFinAtics Oh yes you sure did. Love your video. Thank you so much. I used to take my daughter when she was young to the goat island bridge and fish for Mackerel and Squid every year they were running. It was lots of fun. I can't get enough of fishing. I'm so addicted. I used to live in Rhode Island as I was born and raised there and now I live in Michigan and go salmon trout and steelhead fishing. Those salmon are extremely strong. Lots of fun too. But I miss home.

Hey there's nothing wrong with Salmon and steelheads. 2 fish that are still on my list to catch. I heard they were a blast to catch. Well maybe you have a chance this year for you and your daughter to make a trip back to Rhode Island and bring back some good memories.

Lord knows I hate a guide who thinks you've never been fishing before. he's a nice guy but he should shut the hell up occasionally. you can't tell someone exactly what to say when you get a bite

I completely know what you mean, but Whit's a good friend of ours and the technique he uses is a lot different then what we're use to. He's a really good fisherman that's just trying to bring us up to par on the fast track. Thanks for watching. We hope to have boat loads more videos to come
