I think the Dome of the rock might be resting on the majority of the old Roman barricks that housed thousands of soldiers. So the real sight of Solomons temple would further to the right;) Praise God!

Perry - what are your thoughts about the temple being just south of the current mound at the springs. There has been a lot of conjecture regarding this and it's very compelling. It is currently under the control so the Jews and would not start any conflict. also that would mean that the land does not need to be cleansed.

I here that the temple mount was not the actual place of the old temple. A video I watched said the temple was below the temple mount, in the city of David.

Perry, have you not visited the excavation going on in the City of David? There is proof the temple was in the City and not on the mount. The mount just happens to be the exact dimensions of a Roman fortification, the size of a small city. But the Bible does say the Jews will build the next temple on a Roman fort. #GodBless

The 3rd Temple will be built to the south in the City of David. The current Temple Mount is not where the 2nd Temple was. It is the location of the Roman Fort Antonia.

I've never been to Israel. I wish with all my heart I could go there though. What I'd like to know is where is the City of David in relation to the Temple Mount and why couldn't it be the site of the next temple to be built? Any body know?

MY Thoughts (not thus sayeth the LORD) An altar can be erected without a Temple being built. We know and the Jews believe that the Messiah will build a Temple, and he will enter through the Eastern Gate. View the Temple Mount from a birds eye view, you will see that the Eastern Gate is to the north of the Dome of the Rock. There is ample room for an altar in line with that Eastern Gate. Let's see what a few verses of misplaced scripture says. AMOS 9:11 11 “In that day “I will restore David’s fallen shelter- I will repair its broken walls and restore its ruins- and will rebuild it as it used to be, David's shelter was the restored Tabernacle that he moved to the Temple Mount. This is the tent that the first Tabernacle replaced. EZEKIEL 43:8 When they placed their threshold next to my threshold and their doorposts beside my doorposts, with only a wall between me and them, they defiled my holy name by their detestable practices. So I destroyed them in my anger. From this we see the Messiah returning to the Temple Mount and taking up his rightful place. There is a structure of some type that has a door, It could be a stone Temple, but it could also be the restored "tent" or Tabernacle. We also see a wall that is separating the "Temple" from the profane / abomination. We can gather that the Dome of the Rock, and the Al Asqa Mosque do not have to be destroyed or moved. Again Just my thoughts, It wont be long before this unfolds and we will know for sure.

That's the wrong Eastern Gate. Archaeology shows the Eastern Gate to be in line with the grove of trees that sits between the Mosque and the Dome; just because I decide to call Boston, New York and get others to do so doesn't make Boston, New York. The water system including the cisterns line up under the trees. And that location fits geographically with the fact that David bought a threshing floor, not the out cropping of bedrock under the dome. The location in the grove of trees would also explain why the bible says to leave out the outer court. The outer court would require that the mosque and the dome both be torn down (not that I am opposed to that).

He measured the size of the temple and surprisingly the temple isn't as large as everyone thinks it is and it fit perfectly on the Temple mount beside the Dome of the Rock and that's why it says that the Gentiles shall trample the outer court it's because the Muslim will be walking to the Dome of the Rock and they will be trampling the area around the temple but not in the temple that's how it will be built it fits perfectly up there it's not that large side by side they both fit with room to spare amen

Charles Phillips Perry Stone taught this a few years ago. He said that the anti christ will help build the temple for the jews. That way, the jews will see him as the Messiah. He would play a major part in the Israel peace treaty with muslim lands. The bishop's name is called Edir Macedo. He said that's the main reason why he built it.
