Been playing shieldless since the first Girahim fight, a bokoblin broke it in one of the last rooms and I didn't feel like leaving and getting another one, but decided to commit to shieldless from then on, also learned some neat tricks for that fight because of it. 1. Swinging the sword in the same direction that the daggers are oriented will knock all of them back, doesn't actually do anything but it looks cool. Also works with Octorock pellets. 2. When he does that charging slash you can sometimes stab him out of it but a skyward strike is much more effective. And 3. When he teleports behind you he's always in range for the 3 different spin attacks and it can help damage him faster, by doing 2 in a row you can also end that cycle faster then with mindless slashing.

12:13 Because you get to still use the fully powered master sword instead of the weaker goddess sword, the earlier boss fights usually are a lot quicker because you're simply dealing more damage. The later ones though when the goddess sword is powered up it'd be less of a difference. Also a couple of lesser known tips and tricks for the imprisoned fights: You can kill the little fingernail hand beans with the bombs even when the imprisoned isn't climbing, if you do that then it should make it much easier preventing him from climbing until he regenerates them. If you go to the level above the imprisoned, and drop down using the little cloth that zelda gave you onto the imprisoned's head, then you can use the sword to drive the sealing spike into its head even whilst its still walking; without having to destroy any of its toe beans. These can be a little tricky to pull off, however they're pretty cool and rewarding when you do.

I never got further than that level where you have to run around the volcano gathering drops before the monsters awaken. (You made it look so easy. Admittedly, it never occurred to me to leave the ones at the base of the mountain for last. Also, cheating the slide so that you don't have to go down it several times? Crucial, turns out.) So everything from there onward is interesting to me because I haven't seen it before, and I think I didn't miss much. Re-fighting all the baddies again? No thank you. Though...fifty bucks ain't bad!

@@TheKingOfToastersTKOT I'm referring to the timed "collect the tears" challenges, where those guardians come to life and hunt you down if you step into the light. The last, toughest one is the volcano level with the slide, and I wouldn't have thought of leaving some at the bottom of the slide so that you can reset the counter. He shows keen strategy here in navigating that course.

Did you know for the imprisoned battles, if you get on the floor above him you can jump on his head and hammer down the spike without hitting his toes. It’s way easier and gets way better times.
