This is not a Jobiso song. This was the first song Les Wanyika recorded in 1979 through an obscure producer after Wilson peter Kinyonga (whose band Simba Wanyika they had ditched) asked the producer Polydor not to record the new band. The success of this song made Polydor open its doors for them and recorded their next songs. On this track, composed by John Ngereza, the musicians are as follows: Issa Juma (vocals), John Ngereza (solo guitar), Prof Omari Shaban (rhythm guitar), Tom Malanga (bass guitar), Mohamed Tika (Vocals), Usijali Zua (trumpet), Phoney Mkwanyule (trumpet) Rashid Juma (drums).

Point of correction This song is not sung by George Peter Knyonga of Jobiso but Less Wanyika in their prime times written by John Ngereza and sung by Issa Juma who sung Sina Makosa and Pamela composed by Proffesor omari shaban. Issa Juma left Less Wanyika and former Supper Wanyika though Proffesor Omari was with Simba Wanyika original of of Willson Peter kinyonga and George Peter kinyonga and former Less Wanyika. George Peter Kinyonga left Simaba Wanyika for a while and formed Orchestra Jobiso then returned back to his brother peter Simba Wanyika original till their death.

In November 1978, Prof. Omari Shabani led a revolt against the excesses of Wilson Peter Kinyonga in Simba Wanyika Band and formed Les Wanyika with support of media legends such as James Onyango Joel and Fred Obachi Machoka. The new group was rejected by Polygram Records, the giant multi-national which had a contract with the original Simba Wanyika. They recorded their first song ‘Jessica’ in a tiny studio in River Road. However, the record had to be pressed at Polygram which was the only viny plant in the Eastern Africa region. When the executives who had kicked out the new boys heard the track, they dashed to River Road led by the studio Chief Engineer Isaya Mwinamo to beg Prof. Omari Shabani for a contract. The rejected brick, in essence, became the cornerstone.
