Hi, everyone. It's me again. The guy who commented on a video of Jess and Gabe that his girlfriend has an autoimmune disease. I just wanted to thank everyone for all the love and support you guys have shown her. She read most (if not all) of your comments and loved each one. She appreciated each and every message. And even though Jess and Gabe didn't wish her on her birthday, she appreciated the thought. And I don't know if it's just coincidence, but she tweeted Jess yesterday and Jess responded. I remember in like ninth grade when we had sex ed in class and everyone was supposed to write an anonymous question, and then the teacher would gather all notes and answer them aloud in front of the class... well when he got to my question he frowned and said "this must be a joke... it says 'how much does a period cup cost?'" and everyone looked at each other all confused and laughed, and internally I was like HOW CAN NO ONE KNOW WHAT A PERIOD CUP IS but my shy ass kept quiet and pretended I was just as confused.. then he just shook his head in annoyance and continued without answering it lol I was so embarrassed. glad u hopefully educated some people on things like this through this video!

They are amazing! It is a bit of a learning curve. You have to learn how to get it in and position so it'll be sealed and comfortable but it's really worth it. There are several videos on KZbin that are really helpful with tips. I have a very heavy flow and I've saved so much money from using a cup for over 2 years now.

Usually you need a liner for the heavier days in case of leaks but they're so comfortable and so much less gross than pads and less scary than tampons because no risk of toxic shock.

I am using one too and is so comfortable. At first, you can feel it inside, but I would say you get easily used to it (like you got used to tampons). Yes, the first time putting it in and out can be tricky, but once you get the right grip, it is so easy. And for half of the day you donť have to worry about it (obviously it depends on how heavy is your period). So I recommend you to try it. It seems a lot of money at first, but person has to realise how much they would spend on pads and tampons, so at the end the cup is definitely more cheaper. And it usually can last you not less than 5 years, which is great.

Hey ladies ! This is a comment about the cup, for anyone who would be interested to know more ! I'm from Belgium and, in my circle at least, it's quite frequent to use it ! When I moved to London a few months ago, I was surprised to see how many people where misinformed about it ! So here's for you if you'd like to know more : I've been using it for about a year and a half now and it was a total game changer ! Like it's said in the video, it's a green alternative as it is reusable ! A cup can last up to 10 years if memory serves ! You just have to wash it (i use hot water and an intimite gel which is PH neutral) and desinfect it in between cycles (in boiling water). There are different sizes for the different types of flow and I believe they recommand a large for woman who've had kids before ! All in all they did a pretty good job demonstrating the different types of folds ! From what i've heard from my friends and from my own experience, there is usually a fold that will suit you best. For people who think it's kind of gross to have to empty your cup, etc. I was one of you ! Turns out, it's not that bad ! You get used to it pretty quickly and just wash your hands/under your nails and it's done ! One thing i will say and that should be noted : the cup doesnt protect you from toxic choc syndrom ! If you do not know what it is, ladies do your research as it is a deadly and silent disease that is severly under-represented in the medias ! So the cup doesnt protect you from it, you just need to be carefull and respect the safety guidelines. If you are looking for a green alternative that is safe from toxic choc syndrom (as far as we know now) i recommand you look into period panties ! Sorry for the rent but i hope that helps some woman out there :) if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask ! And to Jess and Gabe, i love you and your videos ! I think it's really important what you put out and especially with these videos not only educating people but also showing that it's ok for a man to be curious about these things and that it's not just "Ew disgusting" ! By the way, I’ve actually switched to the menstrual cup for over 4 years now and I can say that it is much more comfortable than either pads or tampons, it’s easier to use, it’s healthier because it just catches all the blood and natural fluids instead of absorbing everything, including things that are necessary to the vaginas health and of course it’s so environmentally friendly! It lasts you years and you don’t cause as much waist as you do with pads and tampons! ☺️ Hope this helps anyone trying to figure out if they should switch to the cup! You should!!! 😘
