Hi Jess, I'm a watercolor and mixed media painter of almost 3 years, but awhile back during the ugly part of lockdown I ordered some black watercolor paper to mix things up. Well, I never did much with it and to fully utilize this great paper, I have purchased gouache, but I haven't painted with it hardly at all. You are such a great find! I love your teaching style and you paint subjects that bring calm, serenity and happiness. I am really grateful for your step by step instructions, as though gouache in a water medium like watercolor, they are used quite differently. Thank you for taking the time to share your talent, skills, technique and your time to help others learn this medium.

It works better to blend if you start a bit under where you want the color and blend up into the color already on the paper.
