I remember my older brother used talk very highly of Mr. senior Borrego when they used hang around when they were younger ! Come to find out later he was actually Cruzitos dad later on in life ! There was a time i ran into Cruzito Jr. at Reflex night club one night signing autographs back in the late 80s and when i asked him for one he says , '' nah homes i only give autographs to chicks ese '',, we both started laughing about it ! I doubt if he'll remember ! FIRME VATO I MUST SAY !

Nice to see this legend all the way over here in Virginia. I first heard Jesse when I was 6 years old in San Antonio living with my grandparents -- Martin and Matilde Gutierrez. One of his fellow conjunto musicians was my uncle Manuel Gutierrez who played the bajo. Jesse's fingers magically moved up and down the keyboard as those beautiful Tejano sounds filled the place. I know the entire Gutierrez familia (who numbers in the hundreds) back in the barrio will pay homage at Jesse's upcoming memorial.
