My vice was the needle but it's been 14 years in 4 days! Gets easier, slightly. Maybe it's a lot better but the want never really goes away. I'd still never touch that stuff again! Congrats ✌️

This is where it's at! Todays radio country all sounds the same and they miss the musical roots and the life behind the song. More of this!!

Mainstream country music won’t mention a “glass pipe”. He’s keeping it real and relatable.

I love how Jesse doesn't try to hem up his singing with somekinda of fake expression. His expression is very cool during his lyrics that are very heavy and delving.

@nocount43394 жыл бұрын
Im pretty sure this is fairly accurate lyrics though I have no idea how to properly write a poem or song. I could be wayy off or dead on. Take it for what you will. Ive seen hell in an empty bottle Ive seen nights that never seem to end. Ive seen hunger strife and struggle Folks pass by without a hand to lend. Some people call me crazy Some people call me stoned Others say im strung out destined just to be alone. Time and time again ive tried to put it on the shelf. If you thought it's easy babe, come try for yourself. Chorus: Ive for a soft spot, for the hard stuff. Lord I can't seem to put it down. And im Puttin my whole life, into a glass pipe. I burn it it up so I can watch me burn it down. I met a man when I was sitting, at a stool, at flingers bar. His eyes were wide under his sunglasses, got to drinking then we went out to his car. He said he thought he knew where some easy money was. If we pulled it off there'd be more money, booze and drugs. I went right in and pulled the lick He said just one more stop. Pulled his gun drew his badge, that ol boy was a cop. Chorus... My new home is in this prison. And it will be, for six more years. Ive been talking to the counselor. She's trying to help me work thorugh my petty fears. Said I never put my trust in things made by a man. Never have I set a goal and once he made a plan. She said well hoss, you're the boss and you seem to know it all. One funny thing about this place, Everybody's small. Chorus....

Cowboy hats don't make it country. Drawl doesn't make it either. The song does. Posers.

Sounds like every other modern country singer trying to be classic. Yet again No rumble or girth just another artist that they're gonna market as Indie/ Emo Country . The term alone hurts my head. Like punk rock, country had its time now it's just being recycled and refined. Bunch of hipsters with hats.
