Jesse Duplantis and his wife Cathy are awesome servants of God. They give more to the poor than most people would make in a life time. All of you who put down anointed men and women of God who are doers of the Word and not just hearers only will pay the price for your evil slander. Jesus is love and abundance, not hate and poverty. Hey Man Christ IS Lord! I don' worship anyone but Jesus. Jesse has helped me to understand the Lord. I would never tell you to feel the same about Jesse as I do, as it is not my business. I ask you to preach Jesus' message to the world, and make sure to not spend too much time tearing the people down that you think are false preachers. Only Jesus knows who is real and who is not. Blessed are the poor in spirit, and even so, He didn't say they should be poor. Ever since God formed the nation of Isreal, He gave them the gift to prosper, and through that gift, they've and every other spiritual Hebrew who is blessed can bless those around them. Harder to enter true, but the riches come when your already living in the kindom in of heaven. It when you realize your a son of the king. How are you gonna help the poor, if you are poor? How are you going to BLESS the poor?

The problem is there are a lot of man-exhalting teachings going on in the church, and I am growing increasingly frustrated that people refuse to see this. For instance, word of faith basically says you can say anything and God must obey you. The bottom line is the church should 'test the spirits' and find out whether they are from God, because false teachers abound.

Nevertheless, there is a huge link between modern pentecostal/televangelism preaching, prosperity theology and the Word of Faith movement, which Jesse has been caught up in. search youtube for 'jesse duplantis death' and its the third video P.S., I know a friend that died of cancer while thinking he could 'speak' life over death, as stated in this clip. Nope. God is sovereign.

@foreverfree56 You seem to be a reasonable person regarding these issues, so I am glad. My concern is that people can take the Word of God out of context, which is - in my opinion - not Satan's strongpoint, but it can be used by Satan if necessary. My example for this is Jesus's temptation, where Satan first relies on Jesus's starvation weakness (make stones become bread), and then quotes scripture when that doesn't work. If people have weakness (poverty etc) there he is to replace God.

I know what he is saying, I just don't agree. I have read the Bible many many times. This is classic unbiblical "word of faith" teaching. Not saying the verses you quote, but his application.

Word of faith basically teaches you can claim or speak into existence whatever you want from God. Rather than a proclamation of faith in Christ, it is proclamation of getting whatever you desire, using God as the means. Faith in Christ involves, as I am sure you know, trusting in and submitting to him. Word of faith distorts this so that God answers to the believers' every whim. And in Word of Faith they always except the answer to be yes.

Very funny but What verse is that? The rich sharing with the poor is all throughout the NT, Acts 2, Acts 4, 2 Cor8 and 9. But desiring to get rich is not advised in scripture, nor is there a promise that all believers will be rich. We can all be generous and filled with the Spirit.

I have never heard somebody talk so much about money in my life. It's obscene. He does not worship the lord, he worships money. He is not grateful for the love of lord giving him everything he needs, he is grateful that loving the lord has given him everything he needs. He always says to take the bible literally but what about "It is harder for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven than for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle". And Hillsong is known for being friendly to name it and claim it, money money money type preaching, so it must have been pretty bad dude! I don't particularly like it when preachers say 'I am the architect of my life...' even if that is out of context it reminds me of freemasons and false religions that abound in our society today which are man centered idolatries.

No, I do not believe that hearing and preaching the truth is boring. I believe that only Jesus Christ can take away sin. (and fornication is a sin.) My point is that some non-believers find Christians to be serious and grumpy. This makes them not want to accept the message of salvation. I know that we should keep our eyes open, because there are many false prophets. I live here in Ormond and just witnessed this guy build a THIRTEEN MILLION DOLLAR MANSION on the corner of river road and ormond blvd and he paid ZERO taxes on it.I can't help but wonder how many "poor" people that money could have fed.Maybe i'm just a "destiny killer" but frankly,I don't think this guy any better than Jimmy Swaggart,Benny Hinn,or any number of the other false prophets out there.I ll admit tho,i AM jealous of the man.I wish people would line up to just GIVE me their money too

He's funny because he's not here to tell you the truth. He's here to take you money while making you laugh. If you're not obeying the Lord by keeping his commandments, but rather live in sin, then you're on your way to HELL. Did that comment make you laugh or did it make you angry? @foreverfree56 I agree that one should spend time praying for him, but one should also publicly rebuke him. I am particularly upset that this man spent an entire sermon in Australia teaching my younger sister that God wants people to have mansions and cars and private jets, and my sister having to write me an email of her concerns to me. Needless to say, even Hillsong didn't invite this man back because of his bad theology. 'Anointed' and heretic should not be one and the same.
