As a Black person, I respect Jesse Lee Peterson, but his stance that racism no longer exists is untrue. Racism is a sin, and no sin is erasable by man - only God can and will eradicate all sin, to include racism. However, I absolutely agree racism is NOT the biggest problem for Blacks, but moral character for Blacks is a big problem. I also agree that Black people need to look at themselves- their own behavior and attitudes.

Racism is as real as white supremacy. Is it true that white people are superior to any other race? If a person believes it true does it make it reality? Racism is a euphemism for hate, hate is evil. Its an idea that exist only in the imagination of those that believe in it, it doesn't exist in reality.

I tend to agree with JLP on that one, "racism" (a term coined by early 20th century communists BTW) no longer exists as the very concept of "race" basically ended in the mid 20th century, what you have left is those who take responsibility for their actions, the choices they make and the consequences thereof, and those that don't and make excuses for the p*ss poor results they obtain..

The part where Jordan stated maybe they were calling you that because they just didn't like you. BINGO! Your skin tone does NOT give you the right to be demeaning to people or let you not hold personal accountability for your actions. I had a girl I could not stand to work with because her attitude stunk and no one wanted to work or be around her. She went to HR to cry racism but thankfully nothing came of it because the black co workers stepped up about her nasty attitude.

This was really interesting. When they were discussing black illegitimacy versus white illegitimacy, he kept trying to turn it back to questioning the other. Even going so far is saying, “why are you picking on blacks”. But then, he absolutely slipped, and it prove a very strong point when he was asked “do you think that illegitimacy is a black problem?” And he said “No, it’s an American problem.” Ding ding ding!! he knows in his heart that it’s not a racial issue, it’s a heart issue. He just doesn’t want to let the racism argument go long enough to confront what’s really wrong. And that is precisely the crux of the problem.

i think it was a bit sophist that pastor didn't answer the return question about whites and "immorality". both of these people had similar arguments. the idea that racism doesn't exist is right, but the idea that "black people are immoral" was wrong since the point was "people are immoral" when their hearts stray from morality. in any case, it's immoral to condemn people because they don't adhere to a theocratic construct like marriage. the heart speaks volumes, and the power comes from the vow, not the institution of marriage. modern slavery IS an american problem, today, because they are the closest to the most recent acts of slavery, but the truth is, it's everybody's problem since history repeats and slavery predates the past 600 years
@davidbonnet5723

Exactly! People get on me on another site because I refuse to use the word “race” when talking about this kind of stuff. Someone asked me what I thought about “interracial marriage” and I said that I thought it was wrong. I said it was disgusting to think some man or woman might marry a dog or horse or some other race. They got ticked at me because I refused to play their “race” game. They responded back with some crap and I told them inter ETHNICITY marriage is a beautiful thing. I’m a product of exactly that. Mixing cultures and ethnicities enables us to share and expand our worlds. They didn’t like my distinctions.

As a Mexican I told my family that I despise the Narco/Drug Dealer culture and I believe that the same should be done for anything that is wrong in God's eyes. We like to glorify the hood mentality and this makes more people drawn to it. Same with blacks, they have a large following toward the rebellious trends and do not like to call them selves out. When you embrace immoral activities and beliefs you will reap what you sow in the end. Whites have bad things too but historically they have had a more conservative agenda. Asians are an example of people that turned their stereotypes around because of a heavy influence in their homes to be educated and hard working. Lots of Indian's as well are better off in their later generations because they despise being on the bottom of the totem pole. Our ratchet culture is our demise, so stop glorifying it.

I still believe there is racism in some ways. For example, my wife is native American Apache, and sometimes when she goes shopping, there are workers lurking around her and the kids. Just because she is brown and thought she would steal. Sometimes she would go straight to them and ask why they keep following, and they get thrown off. It's very offensive to her when she just wants to shop, then be considered a criminal
@ninjajack2600

Unfortunately, people want to lump everything into racism and completely disregard past experiences. She took offense at it because she was only thinking about how it affected her. She wasn't there for the however many experiences those people had with people who looked like her doing the exact things they feared her doing. It's past patterns of behavior from some people that cause the stereotypes we're so quick to lean on. That applies to every race. Is it ok to distrust one person because of something someone else did? No. But it happens everywhere to everyone.

I remember back in the late 90's and early 00's. We as a people didn't really care about what someone's skin color is. I remember hearing pro black folks butch constantly about white devils...until their white wife or white husband came in. I saw both sides hate for no other reason than not accepting that each person is responsible for their own actions. My family history has zero to do with it all. I come from germans and Norse lineage. We had zero to do with this countries issues. Didn't the north white folks fight southern white folks to free slaves here? I get called a cave beast, and mayo...but I have black and Latinos in my family. Call me anything you want, I just don't see someone as a victim because of race or gender. I do not see skin color as a weakness. If you do then you need to look into why you see race or gender as a liability. It tells people a lot about what you really think of the different races. Bottom line, good or bad...this segregation of the "others" just weakens our country's moral and ethical standards. I have no one to march if a cop roughs me up. I have no one ready to burn a city down if I get fired. The people pushing it all are making loot and pretending they have a solution. There isn't one. Legally we are all equal. So we need to act like it.

Did you ever wonder? Is it possible to engage in something you ultimately think does not exist? Can you be a faithful and devoted Catholic yet hold strong disbelief in the very existence of The Creator? But instead of asking the 'who is or was racist 'this time' or 'again' - why not try asking yourself a question 'who even can be racist? As a matter of first, underlaying and constitutional principle necessary to be before racism becomes possibility. If the position is that a racism does indeed exist (either potentially or explicitly) can this be concidered the condition met for racism? Alternatively, if someone denies the very concept of racism as a real, existing being (phenomenon) and defines it as a non-existing artificially made up, empty, meaningless sound, resembling only at the very first glance, some sort of aproximation of a launguage? Design to confuse, occupy and antagonise both communities and personal relations? Can such individual develop or display racism or even racially based judgments? Or be subjected to the famous 'privilges' and 'entitelements'? Even if the very concept is rejected at the most intimate levels of innerself? It does make me think...

He was basically calling racism evil, and claiming that evil needs to be gotten rid of. Hi Devin, I believe that people discriminate against anybody who is different until that person or persons prove that they belong, mainly through shows of strength and character. I was born in the USA from Mexican parents, when we moved to Mexico I was abused and ostracized by my Mexican peers because I was different, even though I looked like them. It took years of abuse before I grew tall and they decided not to bother me anymore for fear of my size. No mater what we face, it is not beneficial to succumb to others prejudices rather it is our duty to overcome others ignorances even if it costs us everything. That kind of mindset can and has been successful against all odds. No body likes a weakling that’s why they are abused, it’s in our nature as human beings so that the species becomes stronger as a whole. Religion and laws were created to help improve civility by giving us guidelines to follow. Those who believe in racial superiority eventually destroy themselves, just like the royals where the bloodline was their downfall. I don’t know much, all I can say is that I went to a country where I looked like the majority and was treated worst than in a country where I looked like a minority. And if you could react to more Thomas Sowell and Walter Williams please. Thank you, best regards!!

At one of my stops I overheard a group of black folks talking calling each other the n word. I’m not sure how you can cry racism and still address each other as a racial slur, pretty sure that’s the only group of people that do that.

Me personally I think people who might be racist towards me is irrelevant to me. I would not give anyone that kind of power over me. They just about none exist to me. I don't care to show emotion if anything I would just laugh at them. And simply ignore anything that they would say following. They no longer matter. If someone was racist towards me. However It makes me wonder why anyone else would let that bother them as much. It's like they give them power over their lives.

I'm a 61 year old white male in the South. I've never been racists in my life. I don't have a problem with any race I have problems with bad behavior no matter what race it is including my own even my own family members. Is there "Individual racism" yes is there "systemic racism" no. In fact There are more individual non racists in this country than individual racists.

I agree on that note. He was out of line about Floyd. Floyd didn't die from no damn addiction. It was clear he died by not being able to breath. Jessie is pretty much that black dude loving white men on The Boondocks. I do agree with BLM being trash and a lot Jessie from past videos has said. Jessie might want to do his research more next time.

At the end of the interview Jesse should’ve asked if a white man asked you these questions etc, would you think he was being racist? I think the answer would’ve been yes. What does that tell you?

Peterson is correct; the problems associated with a culture will never change unless the individuals that make up the culture recognize that they are making choices that cause the problems and not some scapegoat.

Devin Gibson Felicitaciones por tu canal . Yo tambien admiro a Jordan Peterson .
