That horse loves his job!!! Once he keys in on the calf they want, he's sticks to them like glue. Brilliant mind and athleticism in a horse! Beautiful ride!

I guess I'm not the only person curious about the screaming. They are so good it's like a machine and very loud. And they must attend more than cutting, Reining events too. They scream at everything. Takes away a bit from a good ride like this one. Great ride partner.

It’s one thing to whoop or clap for a truly good move but a lot will get their owners,friends,family to boost up the reaction in an attempt get a higher score. The judge or judges always have the best seat looking straight at the horse/cow to see if the horse is in control and not just looking pretty slinging dirt. This horse was well trained.

The screaming is my favorite part. It reminds me of my ex wife, who suddenly disappeared one day, and still hasn’t been found. I’ll never forget how she looked and sounded, while I was cutting. She was a great gal.

@@asantehunter Cattle are tougher and faster and the ground is deeper nowadays. So 50 secs of working time is plenty of time under those conditions. The horses are also more athletic and better trained. The old days of just wobbling in front of a soft cow are long gone.

Yep, back in my day, we used to work cows for as long as a minute at a time, and we were lucky to score a 200. Cowboys these days have it easy. That’s probably why they’ve gotten so soft. They will never be like the cow people of my time. We were cowmen.

Я с северного Кавказа . Из карачаево Черкесии . Я карачаевец. Я бы с удовольствием поучаствовал бы в таком состязании лет 40 тому назад . У моего отца была лошадь, которая лучше справлялась с этим делом . Однажды отец меня послал и я на нем подростком поехал и отделил от стада трех коров и пригнал их куда надо было. Коровы не хотели отделяться от стада и все бежали в разные стороны. Но мне , а вернее моей лошади удалось их собрать в одну группу и пригнать их в нужное место . Таких лошадей сейчас я не вижу.
