Umm... no Jesse, I NEVER hated Japril. Fans "hated Jackson and April" separately at first b/c they were the outsiders from Mercy West w/ Charles & Reed & you felt like interlopers, but as soon as Jackson and April started to bond, I was 100% in, and I think the majority of fans were too. You can't compare the birth of #Japril w/ Jaggie...there's no comparison. I get that you're trying to protect Kelly, but it's nothing against Kelly to say that I prefer your working dynamic w/ Sarah and the story of Jackson and April. I really liked Maggie & DeLuca...but alas they killed that relationship.

In my eyes, April made Jackson likeable. I always loved her quirkiness, her simplicity. He was always portrayed as the perfect guy with the dreamy eyes and it was constantly implied that he was out of her league. In the end, I thought she was too good for him to be honest. He was selfish and getting that divorce just to spite her was one of his lowest points.

You are right.....Jackson from season 12 onwards was really not likeable at all. I hated how he treated April. She always stood up for him (remember when she told Weber off) but he never defended her when Maggie was saying all those horrible things about her in S13.

Riiiight, they were so hated that they got multiple episodes dedicated to them and seasons long storylines where they were the entire focus. Please, Japril added multiple years to this show's lifepan, their storylines were extremely successful, as proven by insiders. Sarah Drew pitched some of the most successful storylines and they fired her to make Gaggie. Nope. Not gonna work.

Not really, the moment Jackson confessed her love for April in the wedding was one of the most talked about moments in greys history. They were never hated. People wanted them to get together since Jackson and Lexi broke up in season 8. Just because they were some vocal idiots who didn't like April doesn't mean Japril was ever hated. People loved them.

And I’m sorry, but you’re rewriting history here. Grey’s got a lot of hate for them at first bc at that point, April was still widely seen as a virgin goody two shoes who then immediately blamed Jackson for causing her to break her promise to Jesus. Her character wasn’t as well fleshed out, and a crap ton of hate for the pairing was thrown at the show. Over the next months though, people started to really catch on and love them.

And April for Merder, because of her innocent spazyness. Then they grew and changed. April was so so universally loved when she left. Can't say the same for Krista's version of Jackson. But after Japril had that first episode people were rooting for them together. And that didn't change. Japril was the last super couple GA had left. They also hold most watched yt vid for their bathroom scene I think. It's at 34 mill PLUS! Huge shady stupid mistake! Japril also didn't loose the show over 2 mill viewers. Gaggie is possibly the worst of any GA ship, including Gizzie. I feel sorry for Jesse. He's still doing damage control even after they lied to him and Sarah. It's also hilarious he basically says right here he knows Gaggie is HATED. Kepzona Always. Never again Greys! Good riddance.

Agree with some of you. Maggie and Jackson "DO NOT FIT" Their relationship looks and feels forced with Maggie doing all the running. Meredith and Jackson is another story, and my choice for Meredith. there was a whole lot of Chemistry going on with them in season 14. And that dream sequence in 15 WOW! He should have been in the bed, not Deluca, now that would have been something. Him and April were really cute together, but since shes gone???? Also I think Maggie is Man-hungry. Watching Greys for two years now and she has been with 4 different men.She is not ready to be in a serious relationship Right now, its not going to work, especially this one and she will lose a friend.

even when Derek dies, it was not so sad as japril put a part, but then, moving with wave, at least Shonda did not kill April, she gave her some closure and someone who near to her thoughts and beliefs, so moving on with happiness for each kind of less bitter than elimination her absolutely, still has hope of April coming back, as the line she said to Awen, you always coming and bring me back, who knows what coming seasons hold. to me Grey's anatomy finished at this point. better find other show.

I applauded the JApril marriage but I loved the end of it, why? because there is no way those two people who had never been on a date, who then graduated from friends with benefits to husband and wife could sustain the marriage, especially through child loss. The episode after the wedding when Mama Avery came to SGM, the writer tried to warn us, be fooled by the chemistry if you want to, but this marriage will crash and burn, they cut corners, they never did the hard work of building a solid relationship before entering the often suffocating box of marriage... Der & Mer did the hard work before anyone proposed, Richard and Catherine did the hard work, Jo & Alex went through a lot, Ben & Miranda earned it, Maggie & Jackson are currently going through the hard work of knowing each other, trusting each other as romantic partners, it's not guaranteed that those couples will last but they have a better chance by taking the time to build a foundation! Japril had chemistry, but when writers, showrunners and actors get together to create tv shows, chemistry is not the goal, it's just a tool for compelling storytelling about humans their relationships in a true and honest way which is the real objective. The story of Japril as told as told by GA if you take from the beginning to the end is true and honest!

Listen I rooted for Jackson and April but I didnt like how Apryl treated Jackson. She never took accountability for her actions. She blamed Jackson for everything. They proved that sometimes its best to stay friends
