Jesse Cook | Rumba Flamenco Music| The Best of "Love in the Time of Covid"
I recorded these songs at home, over four months, at the height of lockdown. Music gave me a way to escape the four walls of my house. And posting these videos gave me a community of music lovers to connect with once a week during our Friday premieres. With music and friends, you can get through almost anything.
Although most of what you see here is me, alone, playing all the instruments, recording, mixing, filming and editing these videos, I was very fortunate to have friends and family who jumped in to help on a few. I am eternally grateful to: CCDOP, Nancy, Corey, both Juans, Dan, Marito, Fethi, and Matt.

This song makes me cry every time I listen to it. I had a very bad first marriage, left with a suitcase and my kids. I am crying listening to this beautiful music. I played guitar for 40 years. I am 55. In a cruel twist of fate I can no longer play as arthritis in my hands results in weeks of immobility if I play guitar. My fingers freeze into grotesque claws fill with inflammation and my wrists lock with excruciating glass tearing at my joints and joints ground bone on bone after playing just one song. I loved playing guitar with all my soul. I miss playing now as I miss breathing air under water. I am suffocated with joy listening to Jesse’s spirit in this incredible music. Bless you for sharing this Jesse - my heart flies even as it breaks with memories of music now gone from my hands. 😢❤

Wow! Awesome to discover this channel. Having loved guitar music since being serenaded by my husband of 44 years in New Mexico we were so happy to find Jesse about 5 years ago, along with Ottmar Liebert, Govi, J. Linstead. So many of Jesse’s songs spoke to my heart and mood. I even requested to my husband that “ To your shore “ be played at my funeral 😅 Then when I got sick with stage 4 cancer in the fall of 2019 I decided as I fought that battle I could listen to it to address my moments of darkness to reach a different shore as I paced myself through grueling Chemo and radiation. Right as I came out of treatments…… COVID hit a few weeks later. What a journey our lovely globe has been through. I still mask up though totally vaccinated when out in public This music continues to be part of my therapy along with my Bible based routine of zoom meetings and ministry. When Jesse had a concert in Atlanta last fall I just wasn’t ready for large crowds. Now……..I get to enjoy this lovely concert in the wee hours of the morning in my recliner. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
