Excellent intro for context and mission overview. Nice shot of the HSI changing from GPS (pink) to LOC (green) at 18:40. Vectors to final.

Great video ! Would love to see a full set up, TO, airways and LDG just concentrating on the instrumentation with those great graphics showing what you are doing as the flight progresses. Really enjoying watching your videos from a cold and wet UK.

You can really appreciate the job ATC does to maintain separation in busy airspace and to position aircraft for landing. I am sure your job is stressful to keep ahead of the airplane but I can't imagine the stress that air traffic controllers are subjected to. I am sure you can appreciate my comment since they are responsible for air safety. As always ,you guys never disappoint me with your videos!!

Yeah those graphics seem to add a lot to a video. Since I can’t explain something in the video while flying it’s a nice addition I can add while editing.

Short flight, beautiful video. At least Addison has not changed its name like Redbird. Keep flying and making videos Jesse.

Hi Jesse, another nice video. Reminds me of my 7 minute flight from Vancouver to Victoria on a B-737.

Dan TheMan the short flights are a handful especially for the pilot not flying. We often do these positioning flights single pilot and that can get pretty busy if you can imagine haha. Thanks for watching!

Its a pleasure to watch your well done videos. I know that Jets like the Phenom 300 require a lot of various procedures to get it from point A to point B and on the really short "hops" you just don't have much time to get everything done to Company standards. I am now an Official Genuine Subscriber by the way...you earned me. I am a huge fan of the Embraer 300, 300E, 450 and 500. The 450 and 500 are just astounding airplanes from a Pilots perspective!

Fantastic! Don't envy you guys on this one. Have the Phenom 100 in SIM. Can you imagine replicating this flight in SIM as a single pilot, dealing with ATC while mousing on avionics controls, lol?

Great Flight VLOGS, just subscribed! Great angles . Love the graphics explaining things! Keep up the great work! You said when talking about the tires you had cycles left in the airplane. Meaning the age or flight hours you have flown before the company replaces the plane??
@IllFlyIt
@IllFlyIt 6 жыл бұрын
The cycles I was referring to are takeoff and landings. We had several trips ahead of us with a lot of takeoffs and landings. Since the tire was close to its limits we changed it out so we’d have a fresh one.

Is it fairly stressful when you fly the 300 single pilot or with all the autopilot etc make it fairly similar?
@IllFlyIt
@IllFlyIt 6 жыл бұрын
If everything is working properly it's a very low stress airplane to fly single pilot. The autopilot is required to be working to fly single pilot. I've had to fly it with the AP not working a few times and having that second pilot up front really helps. We had the AP fail at 45,000ft over the Gulf of Mexico going to Grand Cayman. We took turns hand flying the remaining 2.5 hours of the trip.

Nice vlog. I have a doubt about those fire alarm set in the before engine start. Are those standard test or it was a beginning of real fire?
@IllFlyIt
@IllFlyIt 7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback Tony! That is a “normal” test that we do during our preflight checks. We have fire detection on each engine and it gets checked prior to each flight. We also have smoke detection for our aft baggage compartment that also gets checked prior to each flight.

So the FADEC decides on the % thrust needed for take off, is that correct? And does it apply more power (full power?) in wet conditions like this? I was trying to time between the application of setting the throttle to take off and v1 being called in this and other videos but I'm not 100% sure i'm able to accurately judge the correct timing points. The times are a little close to be significant I think, but in the dry weather at normal altitudes (I think anyway, not including aspen) but in this video the time is ~15 seconds whereas in kzbin.info/www/bejne/eouknIqJd76NbdU it takes ~20 seconds and kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGK9dnZ_ibV_f9E takes ~19 seconds hmm, an aspen take off (kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4uaYnd8lr59js0) seems to take even longer, maybe ~22 seconds but in this video it appears there is a little delay between calling v1, rotate and the nose coming up so I'm not sure I can confidently use this in my calculations. I'm sure everyone here finds this all fascinating, I've spent far too much time this week watching Jesse and not writing my essay! Hope all is well in the new job

Great video, but it seems like a huge waste of money for the company. You would think that your passengers could take a limo the 7 miles for a lot less money...
@IllFlyIt
@IllFlyIt 6 жыл бұрын
From my experience, most folks who own a private jet aren't too worried about saving money. The convenience of not having to drive 7 miles in Dallas traffic with heavy rain justified it for our passengers on this day. I do agree with you and I did pitch this to the passengers and they still wanted us to bring the plane over to Addison. Thanks for the feedback Pat, glad you enjoyed the video.

Lol.. rich folks that need to fly 7 miles?? Or is this just a reposition?
@IllFlyIt

This was a reposition flight. We flew them into DAL and they wanted to depart from Addison later that afternoon. They had morning meetings in Dallas and afternoon meetings in Addison. It’s odd but we’re here to keep them happy haha
