My ZS10s have 4 drivers for 40$. “I play bass guitar and drums so I have to have a wide range and they are excellent”. Also, they have some very competitive IEM for less than 40$ and some even better ones for less than 100$.

This video had me hyped to try the truthear nova but sadly my experience was terrible and I will be returning them. I tried them plugged directly into my PC as well as through a DAC. I also tried multiple third party audio software and tried messing with EQ settings on my own. NOTHING I did had me hearing footstep audio on warzone better than my 10+ year old astro a40s plugged into a creative sound blaster DAC. Audio was so bad in fact that I won't be trying any other IEM as it completely turned me off. Looks like I'll be using the Astros for another 10 years.

Sound is more fun than my most fun iem Kiwi Ears Melody , but in terms of clarity, it loses out to all my IEMs. But something more expensive than the DT770s is spending double that of an iem for equivalent sound. I hear headphones are better at the high end category, but I'm not sure if the case holds up for games because game sounds are compressed. IEMs are just more comfortable IF you don't have an issue with the fit. Tip rolling helps here.

From a structural stand point the Simgot EM6l and the Truthear Nova are using the exact same configuration to produce sound. The only thing different between these two is the tuning/frequency response. Your comparison against these two products is a prime example of impact on frequency curves to the consumer. A good example of this can be seen in The Headphone Show review of the Subtonic Storm. I'd also like to point out that for gaming, Call of Duty is very unique in the fact that you can EQ the sound in game in audio mix setting. Studio reference setting leaves the sound neutral and should be used to when comparing products to prevent tolerance stacking. You also seem to prefer the Truthear over the Simgot because of the better bass. Technically speaking the Simgot has a better bass response than the Truthear out of the box. This also is a great example of the importance in ear tips. Typically the tighter the seal provides on an IEM, the bass response should improve, but the material and structure of the ear tip can affect this greatly as well. This is why you see products like the IOaudio Volare come with 15 different ear tips in the box. This is probably the cause of your experience between the Simgot and Truthear. These nuances are exacerbated in IEMs because of the fundamental way they are used vs over ear headphones. TLDR: "Generally" speaking if you are buying two different IEMs with the same driver configuration you are just paying for EQ. Ear tips play a major role in the experience of an IEM and the same IEM can change dramatically just from a different tip. Spend some extra money and explore the aftermarket.
@lookimnotracistbut56954 ай бұрын
Isn't the Zero: Red supposed to have less bass and be clearer? The Reds follow a very neutral frequency response with only a slightly raised bass while the Blues have the traditional v-shaped harmon tuning Edit: You might be refering to the impedance adapter included with the Reds. That would increase the bass at the cost of clarity should one choose to use it. While I'm not sure I believe that even with that adaptor the bass should be less then what the Blue offers. Crinacle explained all of the differences in his video on Project Red

I have a few IEMs, favorites being the Tin T3+ and Final VR3000. The VR3000 is the best at gaming but I find the Tin to be better overall primarily due to the more preferential tuning (heavy bass, warm, not much treble sharpness). Despite this, I use headphones for gaming most of the time as I like to listen to music simultaneously. My two most used headphones are Philips SHP9600 (open back dynamic), and Hifiman HE400SE (open back planar). I'm not too serious about positional accuracy of sounds (aka "imaging") but the SHP9600's have decent positional accuracy but the Final VR3000 does it even better, which is strange coming from an IEM but it of course won't sound as wide as most open back headphones. IMO the best headphones I have are the Hifiman HE400SE (open back planar) and BASN ASONE (planar IEM's). They both do extremely well for detail, soundstage, and separation (sounds not muddying together). Unfortunately I have to EQ both of them, the ASONE absolutely requires EQ in the upper treble (around 6k all the way to 16khz) due to how insanely sharp it is. IEMs really do appear to punch above their weight for sound quality and tuning (most of the time, haha), but in my case I'm not very competitive so I use what I want depending on how I feel, and I switch to the better pairs when I really want to dig into my music. Lastly on your comment of "driver fatigue", that is associated with poor separation. Separation generally means how clearly you hear sounds while other sounds are playing. As an example, a terrible headphone during a heavy bass hit will easily drown out the other sounds, but a good headphone can play that bass while other sounds can be heard. It's also worth noting that masking effects play a part in this, so tuning can actually contribute to perceived separation quality. Just putting in my experience and insight, I hope this is not a bother.

I am thinking of buying a pair of IEMs and is split between Truthear Hexa, Truthear Zero x Crinacle or the 7hz Sonus. Mainly playing fps games and want the competitive edge. Also gonna pair them up with the antlion audio kimura cable for a mic. Anyone got any recommendations here?

Can u PLEASE compare the (YANYIN Canon 2 vs KIWI Ears Orchestra Lite) in warzone

IEM´s or even closed back head phones arent a good recommendation for long periods of use!!! They sound clearer and great(well thats why they are called Monitors) but that also wont be a good thing for hearing gun shots and explosions for more than 3 or 4 hours straight!!! Im a musician,dj and music producer,and yeah I also play games!On the beggining I aldo thought it would be a great idea to use any of my studio headphones or IEM´s to play,but pretty fast noticed how a bad idea it was! Also you guys should google the problems IEM´s and closed back headphones can cause,and this happens pretty quick,it isnt the long therm we would love to! I really dont understand this new hype train content creators are doing with IEM´s

please can u say if there is any DAC/MIxamp that can compress the sound without software so that we can use art is war like sound on PS5, or is there any way/compressor atleast to use loudness EQ on PS5? I saw a video where someone could use his game sound from PS5 tru PC with line in and enabled loudness EQ… you should know better

I play pubg mobile but when I increase volume to hear foot steps better the gun sounds get really loud that my ears hurt and I don't like bass .. if anyone understands my problem give me some recommendations for good IEMs on budget

are iems also good for story mode games like ex. Wukong which i started playing
@n8dawg7274 ай бұрын
Problem with in ear headphones is they are always uncomfortable and hurt after n hr or less of use. Couldn't imagine wearing them for hours at a time while gaming. Just don't waste your money on any headphone labeled gaming. Companies use that term as a shady marketing poly to mark up crap quality headphones. Just another scam stick to real audio audio brands for headphones. cost the same and will be better quality and just buy a mic if they don't have them on the headphones. Quite simple really

This just goes to show its hard to take peoples opinions when it comes to audio. I love my simgot em6l and find this guy could not be more wrong about them, lol? Also not had the eartips come off in my ear ever.... I use dunu s&s tips

Do you need an amplifier for IEMs or can I just plug straight into pc?
@alexanderenriquez79545 ай бұрын
You can plug them in directly but I recommend using the front headphone jack or getting a dac adapter like he recommends.

Bought dt1990 pros with a soundblaster x7 together about a grand and iems sound better than my 600 dollar pair of headphones 😢

Hey art I messaged on discord but was wondering if you could help, when plugging the orchestra lites into a go xlr mini it creates a low buzzing noise, what’s the fix for this? Plugging a amp Into the go xlr?
@hammerfall66664 ай бұрын
That's because orchestra lite is a sensitive IEM so it would pickup that kind of noise. Any above $50 DAC can fix this problem.

I didn’t like the Orchestras. Too much going on footsteps were lost with the tune. Sounded good though

Looking to get a pair of the orchestra. Do I need an amp to be able to use its full potential?

I haven't seen the whole video yet so forgive me for this question. I'm thinking about the Antlion Kimura DUO as a purchase option because of the built in mic. But since Antlion also sells the mic separately, should I pair that with a different IEM for a better overall solution? I want to use it for gaming in first person shooters specifically. Also, what inexpensive but good performing DAC would you recommend to pair with the IEM setup? Thanks again.

Continuing to look at the video. Would you say that teaming up the Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite IEMs with the Antlion Kimura Mic would be a better solution for gaming than just using the Antlion Kimura DUO with the built in mic? Either way, could you recommend a good DAC as well? Thanks.

I'm new to IEM. I'm undecided whether to take the Crinacle Zero OG or the 7hz Sonus.

I have the same question but for Xbox Series X.
@lsxlark41104 ай бұрын
@@aj2536 iems didn’t work when I plugged it into the dac. Maybe try the Apple usb c dongle and plug directly into your controller but then you lose the ability to tune

Get the kinera gramr or Kinera ruyi. You can also try the kimura mic. Just make sure you get the 2 pin if you get the Nova.
