**On some PCs, HeSuVi doesn't affect the front channel on the first install try** Try running Configurator again, checking "Troubleshoot" at the bottom, selecting the HiFi Cable in blue and changing the mode in the bottom right to "LFX/GFX". Just ran into this issue with a friends setup.

Hey Art! This fix works partly, it seems that it "disables" Loudness EQ, it will stay checked in the settings but unchecking it and checking it does not make a difference to the audio. This is probably why you have some comments that footsteps are still a bit quiet/washed out or something.

A few people on the discord are having the same issue including myself. Washed audio everything quite in general and not being able to hear a chest that is 4 feet away on the screen. Seems like loudness eq is bugged but checked it 4 times.

I have done each one of Arts audio tutorials with no issues. When doing it this time, I left everything installed initially. IDK if I did something wrong the first time around but it did not work and my footsteps were still loud in the shooting range. I went back and uninstalled each program and followed along with him in this video and it worked perfectly. Art, not only are you a master of your craft, but a great human and ally (I follow you on Twitter). So thank you.

Right click the device, properties, advanced. Make sure your hardware device is set to 48000hz as well.

Any noob like me that followed along and still had footsteps-In another vid Art mentions a step i didn't see in this(could have been missed by me :) In the APO Configurator,click Hi-Fi Cable Input then click Troubleshooting and make sure to 'Install as LFX/GFX' and remember to reboot for this to take affect :) Not hearing my footsteps is gamechanger,thanks again Art Edit-ust seen Art pinned this issue at the top lmao

In what way is it better? For me everything just sounds distant and muffled. My own shots sounds awful. There is just too much of a trade off just to get louder footsteps. Am I missing something? Have done the process a few times and same result.

Appreciate the help ! Ran in to some problems, when I tested it, the settings were not applied. Turned out APO was not installed correctly on the Hi-Fi cable, so for everyone else who tries to test it and it does not work, try re-opening the configurator, select the hi-fi cable and click the box below for "Troubleshooting options" and try to "Install as LFX/GFX" it will give you a prompt to reboot, do so. This got it to work for me.

i did this and after this when i tweak the settings in hesuvi i can feel the difference but doing this takes a away loudness EQ for me. like when i enable and disable eq on the hifi cable it doesnt make a difference.

Same issue with hesuvi not affecting my audio but after doing the troubleshoot install with LFX/GFX it's working now and the hesuvi changes get applied! Thanks for that find!

ive used all your audio fixes so far and am always impressed with the results. Instructions were easy to follow and when complete i jumped into the fireing range and all worked as u said it would. However despite footsteps being way more spacially accurate i find lootboxes and killstreaks and also the ambient passing planes in vondel are all SOOO loud now! ive tested a few different settings in game but its become a struggle to play as these sounds in particular seem to dominate. Appreciate your videos and knowledge. just letting you know

Lowering the master volume helps. With the front channel so low, you don't need to turn up the volume to compensate. A lot of people run the game WAY too loud after the tunes.

Hey man, can you give me more details about this? I am having a problem to get this working with my Logitech G PRO X wired headphones. Seems like the audio around me is just not there. for anyone asking for why theres audio latency. I found the fix! please go to voice meeter and when you are inputting the sample rate for the wdm make sure it is compatible with your output device A1 and make sure its actually changing. if it isnt changing its either because you didnt select a wdm A1 device, or you have the sample rate too low.

you have to make sure its actually changing, but if it has changed and it reads the right device type (WMD or MMD) and it isnt changing, then I suggest restarting the PC anyways. but it shouldnt be needed. also make sure your audio drivers are up to date@@blazemicheals6670

I have been playing WZ2 for 8 months and I can finally hear footsteps for the first time. I applied the S 4.5 reloaded update you made and the audio got EVEN better. If your sound is coming through ALL KINDS of F'd up, you are not alone. The answer lies within starting from un-installing and re-installing from Configurator with the Troubleshoot command with LFX/GFX as Art mentioned in his pinned comment. For a minute I thought that audio setup was intentional and was feeling bad for mutex.

I ram sonar since december, was in a shadowban loop from february to late May. deleted sonar and the game, reinstall the game and shadowban loop gone. just a heads up incase you run into it, others have had the same issue. also, sonar spatial is better, but the audio isn’t as clear as this setup in my opinion.

I fixed the issue with not been able to select WDM. And it sounds even better less delay. My issue was that my JBL Quantum’s come with software you can download to control EQ and the lights. I deleted the app and it works perfect now under WDM…

For some reason I couldn't get the surround sound and loudness eq working at the same time. I tried changing the Configurator settings using all of the different "FX" troubleshoot options but I just couldn't get both to work no matter what. What would probably work would be to change my audio driver to the default windows one, but I feel more comfortable using the driver my motherboard recommends. So, I think I've decided to use loudness eq with the hesuvi settings and reaplugs on equalizer apo. Basically, everything other than the surround sound work around part, or pretty much what the season 3 video recommends. I really appreciate all of your hard work in researching and teaching us how to improve our audio. I am especially grateful that you found that loudness eq enabling script for Power Shell!

for anyone else who also didn't follow the direction at the beginning to undo any old audio settings, my loudness EQ still bein activated on my main audio hardware device was messing up the way everything was sounding. you gotta make sure that's off so you're not stacking two loudness EQs for no reason. sounds really good once i fixed it!

When we run the loudness eq code it disable the 7.1 surround configuration on the Hi-Fi cable if you test it you only would listen in left and right speakers icon.

I had problems with LEQ not working, or 7.1 only using stereo channels. Deleted everything, including audio drivers reinstall. Fresh installs APO&Hesuvi, and now it works. Partial removing of VBCable&Voicemeter was not enough.
