You do very nice work. I've been doing the same (cutting down and trimming oaks) on my property for the last 45 years. When I bought my 753 Bobcat 22 years ago, I figured out a grapple added to one of the buckets would be of great help. Of all my attachments I have, the grapple is the best labor saver ( auger, side tilt, backhoe, sweeper and forks). You made a good investment and the grapple works great. Impressed with your work and fun to watch the video.

When using a machine for a rope anchor, as soon as the tree moves the slightest, the rope slackens and becomes useless. The tree has about 180 degrees of falling range without the anchor doing much. Try lifting the loader arms and attaching the rope directly to the machine and apply desired tension. Then lower the loader bucket, etc onto the rope and put in FLOAT position. The weight of the loader dropping with the rope will keep tension on the rope till it gets a fairly good lean angle. Just pay attention for any snagging from the bottom onto the rope.

Apologies if this has been asked, but how tall are the sides of your trailer? It looks like you might not have much lifting capacity left if your trailer was any taller. It looks like you are pulling up onto a pad or something to pick and dump, does that lift you up or just keep you from wearing out that spot on the ground? Thanks 🤙
@JesseSullivanYouTube

The sides are about 4' high. The pad is for protecting the grass and makes turning easier.

For a lot of jobs, that little thing is all you'd need, or want really, a skid steer damages yards and can't get into as tight an area. Of course it can't do what a skid steer can, but it wasn't designed to. Good vid.

On the tension bar for the tracks - you need to install a hexagon jam-nut (preferably a nylon locknut) against the already present hexagon nut that is already there; and that will keep the tension at the setting you have applied. The constant back and forth tension pull against that single hexagon nut applied enough pressure to loosen the single hexagon nut from the tolerance movement that is already there. The hexagon nylon locknut against the other hexagon nut will stop that from backing-off. Any other slack will be due to the tracks themselves becoming stretched over time and usage.

Great job and seems like money well spent. For $5000 you can't beat it IMHO? I can't see how spending another $45,000 more will get the job done any faster? Try and remember to lower the throttle before you shut the machine off. Each time you don't a lot of fuel gets pulled in to the motor that does not burn up. Over time it can run past the rings and thin the oil and/or build up inside the muffler and ignite the next time you start it up. Nothing like a loud backfire or 5 feet of flames shooting out the exhaust to remind you Lol. After watching this video, I'm pretty sure that one of these is in my future very soon. The only issue is which one? While they look the same for the most part, the quality of the engines, pumps, welds and assembly seems to vary quite a bit from brand to brand?
