It's stated in the book that because Emma and Julian love each other their parabatai bond gets stronger (which is why she was able to heal the arrow wound), but the downside is that their love corrupts their bond and they fall into madness. That's why falling in love with your parabatai is forbidden. Fun fact: The chapter titles and the message are all lines from Edgar Allen Poe's Annabel Lee

I forgot that Kit was blond, so the entire time I imagined him being tan with brown hair and then the reveal happened, like by the angel. This is definitely Cassie's best book yet, I actually made a tag on it. Did you read "A Long Conversation", I would love to hear your thoughts on it. I had to read "The Lottery" for AP Lit this year, so I thought he had to be killed not the killer and yeah! Great video!

I believe there is a connection in the story from Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy about James (Will and Tessa's son) and Christopher (Henry and Charlotte's son) relating to TiBerius. More so Ty and James. It was discovered that James had a unique power and I believe Ty has the same power that just hasn't been discovered. Let me know what you think !! :)

So you said Julian and Emma do things that parabatai usually don't, but we've been told the Simon and Clary would also sleep in the same bed when they were kids, even before they were parabatai, and all the trauma that happened in Julian and Emma's lives that most likely made them want company 24/7 hadn't happened to Simon and Clary yet. We also know Jace and Alec as parabatai, but we really don't know much about how intimate they are. There's also Will and Gem (right? I haven't read the clockwork series but I plan to) but I don't know like, anything about them.

You don't absolutely have to, but reading the novellas allows you to appreciate it a little more and have a deeper understanding of some characters. But you don't have to. Thus, if you can read the novellas before Lady Midnight, I would definitely recommend because it is just nice and adds a few thoughts and knowledge about the characters from TMI that may seem a little abrupt when in Lady Midnight, but still enjoyable. If you can't or simply don't want to read them, there is no need to worry. You can still enjoy Lady Midnight, and it won't be confusing.

I decided to wait for the book form before reading them but still read Lady Midnight and it was fine. the only is there is a time jump and the novellas kinda explain what happened in between. but you can kind of grasp it, it's fine to read them after. it's a bit like reading TMI and then TID rather than in publication order.

No one has mentioned this memory yet....in the entire TMI series, the idea of disfiguring a rune is mentioned and done. It was Luke who first mentioned it to Clary and it was Clary who did it with Jace's rune. And in ID, Jems uncle presents Cortana to Will, he does mention that it was created by wayland the blacksmith. Same person who created the short sword that clary has and the long sword sebastian had. They were both said to have advantages for the true wielder of said weapon. Meaning, a Thor and mier-mier situation. 😉 Also, in this book, jem and Emma's father reconfirm, that Cortana can cut through anything. So, it stands, without saying, that either on purpose or "accidentally on purpose," Cortana will be used to sever the tie between parabatai. It's a long winded theory, but it works...in my mind atleast. Lol

I actually founded it weird that Emma and Julian slept together in the same bed and didn't touch each other. I think that when you can sleep in the same bed with someone (same sex as you or not) in totally platonic way but still physically close to each other, it's the meaning of true friendship/parabatai relationships! It felt so good when I finally realized the meaning behind the chapter names. And it was quite early on if I might add
