Love all the passfire videos. I was a member for years until I got disabled and couldn’t afford the fee anymore but I sure learned some great things from all of that information. My homemade press star roller recipes. Well just name it and I probably made it. Great place to go for great information. Wish we had a place in the US to buy nesting hemispheres. Shipping is out of this world to experience just because of Covid and the price of products that skilighter raised after loyde sold the place and the new fella moved it to California. Man what a mess. Use to get some great deals without having to buy 75 or 100 bucks worth of stuff.

I’ve been doing the dry wrap for thirty years now. I use as little glue on anything as possible. All my multi break shells work just fine with no glue. The Italians has got it down for sure but some still believe in the paste wrap.

Great video as always! Thanks Jesse! What Italians call "Contrabomba" is actually a color shell, that is part of a multibreak shell. The bottom shot is called "Controcolpo". For example, a 3 break Italian shell (called "Bomba da tiro") can have these effects: 1. Intrecci: multiple color inserts that break all at the same time (the "stutata" effect). That's usually the first break because it happens when the shell is still at full speed, so the inserts spread more into the sky. 2. Contrabomba: the large color shell that they build around 8:35 3. Controcolpo: a salute A bomba da tiro can have a lot more breaks of course. But even the "small" ones are always a piece of art!

It is a fantastic video!!! The so called "fermata" shell made in this video with the superscription "* O" has the effect "(intreccio) + (controbomba)". "*" = intreccio = a mosaic of colour bombettes (8 bombettes in the first break). "O" = controbomba = a large bouquet with a heart of round stars and rings of large cilindrical stars. The bombettes in a "stutata" shell have a large delay, about 5 seconds or more. The bombettes in an "intreccio" have a short delay.

Really interesting document especially when you show how the stars are stacked in the internal bombs and how they close the shells without glue. A true artisan workshop. As an Italian, chemist and always passionate about pyrotechnics, I can only be proud of it. The only thing I would have done is work with the separate flash powder in small piles, but surely they know that too ... Thanks for the video. Bye bye from Italy. Alex

to the layman it looks reckless, but that's years of experience and know how, these men have a great deal of feel for what they're doing. if the stars and burst were that sensitive the shell certainly wouldn't make it out of the gun.

In Mexico I can get a 8in multi break cylindrical for -70usd… pretty expensive compared to 8” spherical which are closer to 12-15usd

@@noc4265 what's the difference between multi-break and cylindrical ? I can pretty much guess the multi-break are the ones that project into different directions and then explode?
