Thanks, Jess, for the video. I'm a strong believer in P1 and P2. I know that if I employ P1 and P2 correctly, the rest of the swing sequence will come naturally, resulting in mind-blowing shots. Also, it eliminates unnecessary swing thoughts.

Thanks for replying…now that i know there’s a real person behind these…..To met one of the big advantages of stack and tilt over other systems is that I (as an advocate of David Pelts) use “position #3, #4, and #5 with all my irons including wedges. Stack and tilt allows these non full swings without introducing accelerated weight shift or any other “adjustments” to the downswing. This makes Half shots and 1/4 shots much more repeatable.. My point is…if I’m correct….play it up…why doesn’t any one do a fair comparison of the various swing systems. rotatory golf, stack and tilt, natural golf, traditional trail leg drive to target. Etc. I think stack and tilt for the average amateur would make the most scents.

Thank you for this video breakdown. First saw you on Saguto’s channel. I’m going into my second year playing and I have a hybrid conventional swing with really wide stance but straight arms. I’m inconsistent but the straight arms has been helping. I’ve decided to completely embrace stack and tilt as it feels natural to me when I practice in my home (winter in New York). I can’t wait to try this in April. Anyway, thanks again for this breakdown, I’m a subscriber now!

Great lesson! Quick question…. At impact is the club directly in-line with the left arm or should there be a slight angle? Centrifugal force says the club should be a direct extension of the left arm in my mind it has to.

Focusing on the positions in the golf swing reminds me of Rick Monday, a pro who I took a few lessons from several decades ago. He would literally put his students in the various positions of the golf swing and have them hold each position one after the other...over and over. He didn't even want you to hit balls for a few weeks as he did this with you over and over and you rehearsed at home.

Jess, thank you for this really great video. I have taken the P3-P8 swing distance to the course a couple of times with great results. However, sometimes I have a tendency to go left. Can you comment on feet position at address for irons, do you recommend a square stance for all shots or feet move a little (think Ben Hogan stance for short irons compared to driver).

Excellent video and explanation of the relative check points for the golf swing Jess.I have found that P3 -P8 certainly provides ample power to play my course well without undue strain on an ageing body. Reaching and checking positions via Live View camera whilst gaining a feeling doing them in slow motion and then blending them into a continuous motion has certainly helped my golf swing and reinforced S&T principles. Many thanks.

Thanks Jess.. which muscles are used for down swing? Start with lateral movement of left hip, followed by shoulders or torso??

There are a bunch of movements to start the downswing but lowering the arms is first

Really well-explained! Now I finally understood the position of the club face during the swing. at the knee level, the position of the club face should be same as your spine angle which is a little different than when it is at the top of the swing. Please kindly confirm what I am saying here. Much appreciated!!!

Jess, really enjoyed the detailed description. At P1 weight is 70% left leg ... what does weight distribution feel like during P3-P8 drill?

Great video. I’m in my fifth week of total right knee replacement. Because of the weight displacement, I can practice at the range. As careful as I can be my seven iron is as far as it was before surgery.

Great tutorial. So if at the very least, as we learn this technique, by keeping the weight on the front foot, you’re likely to hit more solid shots than not?

Play good round with the system- only problem is to hit the short iron FAT - when i realized it is cause by Head leaning toward the target- for those using System ensure the Head not moving - keep it still you will have good round

Your tip for P1 address using foot flare setup with pressure 70/30 split on the front leg was something Ive overlooked over the last 3 years. I tried your tip, instantly adding 30-50 yards on my drives. Im also hitting everything really pure, and more consistently. I cant thank you enough.
