Y'all should DEFINITELY check out her Killing Voice video/performance. She'll sing a bit of a number of her songs, so you really get to see her versatility as well as how she is when she performs a bit (I say a bit since it's not like, a full on stage or anything). Man, that being said, when I finish this video ima watch her Killing Voice video lol y'all got me in the mood. Edit: Fun fact - she's originally a singer and does rapping for fun.

The person on the phone at the end was Psy (yes the Psy that made Gangnam Style) who is the CEO of PNation which was the company she was under for this comeback but she recently departed from them. A bunch of other dope songs from Jessi are Down, Gucci, Nunu Nana, Don't Make Me Cry and What Type of X (to name a few of my favorites). Jessi was born in NY (Queens) but raised in NJ. Please react to ‘Nunu Nana’, her breakout hit, despite being active in K-Hip Hop industry since 2005. You’ll get lots of dancing from it! Coincidentally, Jeff mentions he needs more from her and her opening line is, “I’m trying to give you something more…”. ‘What Type of X’ and ‘Cold Blooded’ followed respectively. I highly recommend the latter. Fun fact: Between 2019 and June 2022, she was under the P-Nation label, owned by Psy (of Gangnam Style fame).

I honestly think that Jessi is more of a Korean Hiphop Solo artist not a Kpop artist. There is a difference because she’s a rapper. She is diverse I’ll give her that like she can switch it up & sing, but she’s definitely a rapper at heart.

Honestly jessi debuted as a singer not a rapper. But people liked her more when she was rapping so that why she's rapping more. But actually you should listen to "star" from her or her debut song and some more to really see her vocal voice personally i really like it She even did a duet with henry on song "radio". But yeah she's not really part of the "kpop" but "khiphop"

So, Jessi has been hustling for the longest time (~16y). She is originally from NY/mostly NJ and initially debuted in Korea as a vocalist, however, didn't gain much recognition (even though she has amazing vocals) until she participated in a rap survival show (Unpretty Rapstar) in 2014. She only gained mainstream success in her recent release NUNU NANA after joining P-Nation (Psy's company) and has been releasing bangers after bangers (although she did leave last month and is now a free agent). But she is also extremely versatile in her music. Killing voice is a great way to get small snapshots of her discography, but if you want to check out her other songs Bangers - Nunu Nana, What type of X, Cold Blooded, Spirit Animal, Gucci, Sseununni Laid back vibes - Who dat b, drip, Arrived, Down (mostly vocal song though) Vocals- Star, Numb, Don't make me cry, Excessive love
