I really like Jessica ❤ she's one of the characters that gives me a kind of comfort. Being so aloof to and unaware of some concepts and the emotions of people is common to some of us, and she's a great character to portray that with innocence alongside a sprinkle of horror. She's great!

A beautiful song with questionable lyrics, but its fits her and the vent's story so well. Jessica was, quite literally, a "misunderstood" villain; she misunderstood that horror tropes were games you play with friends, even the near death ones. She morphed into a Jason/Slasher, Undead Spector, and commanded an entire forest of monsterous creatures, yet none of her victims were ever in real danger; if you don't count the traumatic experience part. Beautiful singing that represents her nature and character overshadows the lyrics which were really horrifying if you read it closely (now that i think about, shes like a mild to low on the yandere spectrum). I like to believe thats what the devs were going for her character and they nailed it in this song

I don't play the game, but the song is so beautiful. Between the dark lyrics, the ethereal and innocent energy of the song and the video image, I'm guessing she's one of those characters that are innocent/ignorant, yet has some monstrous power. From the monster in the back, I'm guessing it has something to do with the innocent, yet violent game of hide and seek. Maybe she has the power to set it on others, believing it to be a game where the others hide from her "friends"/monsters. Or maybe they're the ones playing hide and seek, yet it's misunderstood that the monster is evil. Just my educated guess based on the assumption that this is a character soundtrack. I might eventually play the game and find out.

Spoiler: You are 100% right with her being innocent but being very powerful and dangerous. She, and that monster behind her, are the result of an experiment in a forested area. She is a shapeshifter and can also cause illusions and do some other stuff. She could be a huge threat if she chose to use her powers to harm others. Many years ago She met a little girl (who She later meets again and they become close friends), who told her very cliché horror stories. Since then the shapeshifter girl was obsessed with horror stories. Basicly in the current age where the story plays, the cast of characters go to this appearently haunted lake in the forest, only to find out that it was mostly her doing (alongside with the other mutated monsters). For her it was basicly just having her own horror story. She befriends the other characters in the end and gets taken in by the Foundation, who try to understand her powers and contain the potential danger. Since she was pretty much all alone in this forest most of her life, she is a bit socially awkward, naive and an airhead. But she is a very sweet girl.
