Jessica Sanchez was 15 at the time American Idol season 10 was broadcast. Technically, she was not eligible for season 10, because she was one month too young in July 2011. Eligibility requirements is that you have to be between the ages of 15 and 28 in July of the year before a particular season airs. If she were in season 10, she would probably have no chance against Scotty McCreery.
