@@rosehagood3146 From what I saw as an intern at my local State's Attorney's Office, grand jurors are in a conference room instead of a courtroom. Maybe things were different in the 1990s, though. Also, a courtroom belongs to a judge (unless that was different back in the day).

Not necessarily. Prosecutors make deals to get confessions. Evidence gets excluded from trials by competent attorneys. What you don't do is confess right away.

Looks like the prosecutor filed a FALSE contempt charge against Mrs. Fletcher. Even a second one wouldn't snap her back to reality: the reality that SHE was the REAL murderer! Mrs. Rayburn, guess the shoe's on the other foot. NOW how does it feel for a prosecutor like YOU to be on the OTHER side of the law? Huh? (silence) I thought so.

1:06 - she crossed a line with her superior. The prosecutor was too scarred from that childhood incident to ever recover. She refused to heal. She refused to seek happiness. She became zealous in pursuing justice. As far as she was ever concerned, whomever she prosecuted was already guilty in her mind. Never even considered that they were innocent and were somehow drawn into the web of the court case against their will. And that was self-defeating.

@@jessicalillianweinberg4401 I have to say I kind of feel like 12 seasons is a little too long for a show that is pretty formulaic and also none of the characters from murder she wrote are characters your really gonna care about too much don't get me wrong I still like this show I just kind of wish it took more risks like a reoccurring or more two parters or some serialization of sorts what do you think is less more sometimes in tv
@jessicalillianweinberg44013 жыл бұрын
@@kelsey1467 I think this one was kind of sensationalist and unlike the usual formula for the show - and there's a lot here that's out of character for Jessica. She would always tell the person who was suspected, who she was championing, not to avoid the sheriff or policeman or lie about what they did know about the case. And then she does that (not the lying, but the running away.) And except for the speech in this scene, she didn't come across as as savvy or in control as she usually does - there was a lot more of her police and lawyer friends protecting her.
