I just discovered this young lady when I saw the movie True Spirit and then saw this post. I can't even think of how proud she was to accomplish this feat. And the pride of her family, friends, Australian people and people all over the world. I'm Canadian and the pride still comes here. I can't even imagine the stories her children and later grand children will be mesmerized by her stories.

Reading your comment 10 years later and her disagreeing with the PM at the time was done with humility and in such a way so as not to embarrass him. Her comment was given with dignity, respect and motivating. Just ordered her 2 books True Spirit and Indigo Blue and looking forward to that digital read.
