One of the wives told me that one of the requirements to go through the process was counseling and the counselor’s concern was the need for them to have a biracial baby. They were offended but the counselor’s point was valid. All the couple talked about was the baby’s hair texture and skin complexion so it was giving fetishization.

People are being dishonest. The Color Purple flopped because its a musical, not because of Taraji. The "real" audience didn't know it was a musical and went to social media pissed. Regarding the adoption segment, if the adoptive parents don’t know how to care for a black baby and don’t have black women in their inner circle to help, they should do the right thing and have an open adoption to allow the mother (or her family) to be involved in the baby’s upbringing. I hope the community supports the mother so maybe one day she will be mentally, emotionally, and financially in a position to regain custody or have an arrangement where she can have some sort of relationship with her biological daughter
