I have read about the 90 minute sleep cycles too! I actually started timing my wake up based on that a few years ago. I always aim for 7.5 or 9 hours then add about 15 minutes to let myself fall asleep. It's been a life changer for my sleep!

We first have to be passionate about the things we do. Successful people are passionate people. Not successful in terms of money, but rather those who simply get things done. We need our rest, but need to realize that NOTHING is accomplished in leasure or rest. Life is work. We must push forward, be self-motivated and passionate about what we put our hands to. Self-motivation is so crucial. Do not look for others to be your soul means of inspiration and validation. You can do it!! Stay strong...be productive.

That glowing alarm clock looks like an awesome choice. Thankfully I work my best in the morning so I don't think I'll need one of those - lol! Cheers!

Alarmy is a good app too for pictures! You take a picture of somewhere else in your house, and the alarm doesnt shut off until you go take a picture of it in the morning and even has a function to prevent you from uninstalling it while going off if you choose to set that up

Yes! Waking up earlier helps so much. I don't know if you read The 5 second rule book by Mel Robbins. She counts 5,4,3,2,1 up. When she turns off the alarm. Also if you are having trouble waking up she says take a cold show it wakes up your brain. That works too. Just some suggestions. Great information! Have faboulous day!

I've been wondering about that sunlight alarm clock! I'm a total night owl, but I feel so much better about my day when I can get an earlier start.

Girl, it isn't a matter of what I like. I'm just a 'night owl' and always will be! That's why I prefer working night jobs. Now that I'm in my 50s, I'm too old to change my ways now.

I tried the Apps... There is always an easy trick (or just deleting app...), and I just don't have access to any of my prefrontal cortex in the morning, full autopilot 😅

Jessica, you're sweet. And you were soooo describing me being the serious night owl!! But...that's when you can get things done: you can rest your many hats, children are sleep, phone's not ringing, husband doesn't need you, it's peaceful & quiet!!!!!!! No distractions/interruptions. I have a bomb alarm clock (and it is LOUD) that I sleep through (I may not actually hear it for 20 or 30 minutes), so the hubby wakes me up to turn off the alarm. I LOVE getting up early; I think I don't love going to bed so early. But...my resolve is to make myself go to bed earlier so I can easily get up at 5 am as I desire. Cheers to the birds chirping at 5!

You go girl! I'm definitely a morning person so waking up early is fairly easy..I just need to figure out how to go to bed at a decent time so I don't crash by 2pm! haha

Jessica, I am such a night owl and I find it SO hard to wake up early or even just to wake up on time and not have to rush. I've watched so many videos on tips to wake up earlier and I can honestly say that this one has been the best one yet by far. Practical, motivating, inspirational and definitely comforting to hear that I'm not the only one that's like this and that it can be overcome lol... Thank you!! I think I'm gonna start with one of those sunlight alarms instead of my phone!

Waking up early is the best, I even had a dream about it recently.. how odd. For me it comes down to getting enough sleep 6 1/2 hours and having a reason to get up / routine. I'm a trader and I often wake up with full energy just thinking about what the markets doing. Sounds weird but it's great and makes waking up easy.

Yes world domination 😂👏🏻 I CAN RELATE to turning an alarm off in the midst of sleep lmao! Your idea that just a few extra hours can make a difference in achieving your goals is so inspirational. Society makes us night owls feel like such failures and I’m realising that we need to create strategies that are beneficial and realistic for ourselves and they may not be the strategies that “work for everyone”. What is easy for some might not be for all and we need to remember to acknowledge our own hard work and celebrate our own wins 🙌🏻

I'm a definite night owl, it's been about a decade being one, and now I have a problem, if I want a better job than cleaning for example, been considering that because work hours start at 4pm or afternoon in general, if I want a job that my school was for, and if I would get the job, I should be at work every day before 7am, so that sucks very much, and I would have to wake up at least at 5am, and I honestly don't know will I be able to do that, and I'm honestly afraid of it. And what adds to the problem is that I love the night, that's my time, and I don't know how to change 10 years of night owling to getting up so early, I go to bed later than that 😔 people don't get it. By the way, I heard that being a night owl could be in a person's DNA

Awesome video, I will try your ideas, I never can wake up on time, but I have 2 alarm clocks, one near bed on my small table that I can turn off over and over, but I have an alarm on my iPhone at same time in the same room but very far away from me so I need to stand up go across room to turn off so its harder to go bed again even if I have done it before.
