I co-wrote this song with the amazing Jon Randall - such a treat to take this idea to him as he wrote on one of my favorite sad songs, “whiskey lullaby”- and the background vocals are Mr. Perry Coleman. The girl at the end is my lovely sister-in-law, Laney!

You GO girl! Awesome song and so happy to see you performing! You have a distinctive voice, which is what I look for, you don't sound like everybody else and THAT is good. Think Dolly Parton... another distinct voice. You've got a long life ahead of you and I can't wait to see what's next. NEVER undersell yourself, KNOW your worth! I can see your strength and confidence growing and now I'm gonna stop cause I sound like I'm talking to one of my daughters:-)

I saw Union Station featuring Allison Kraus at a music festival when she was 18. They were performing near where I was grabbing lunch before heading to another venue to see a different band. Her voice literally stopped me in my tracks. Never made it to see the other band. The first time I saw you on AGT I was blown away by your voice and new that you would be a star someday

I don't know if you read the comments on here, Jess, but it would be really cool to know you see this. I finished your audiobook a few days ago. I normally listen to my books in the car but with Unspeakable I brought it in the house on my phone after I got out of the car and listened while I cooked and did my "mom" stuff lol. Of course I couldn't listen with my little boy in the room but I worked around it. Your book left a deep mark on me. You as a person have left a huge impression on me and I've never even met you. It's not about your celebrity or any of that stuff. No offense, but I really don't get into celebrities and pop culture, etc... I honestly don't care for most of them but like I said it isn't about that with you. It's a spiritual thing. Please don't think I'm a creeper lol, I swear I'm not. I'm just a 45 yr old single mama doing the best I can to be the best mom I can be. I'm a recovering alcoholic and though our battles have been nothing at all the same, I have that same unstoppable soul and spirit that you have. And I try to do good in the world and use my voice to add to the lives of others instead of take away. You are the same way. You went through hell, yes. You absolutely, without a doubt fought the devil and won and it scarred you deeply. But your story is going to save someone else's life one day. And God will illuminate the path to that person as you grow and spread your wings and fly. I use my dark past to hopefully avert pain and darkness for others. I can lead others to sobriety and you can lead others to safety. And I know that's what you want to do more than anything else. I can just see it in your aura and your spirit. We are kindred spirits. Warrior spirits can spot another one when they see her. Fire Song and My History have been playing on repeat on the Alexa thing (not sure what it's called, I'm old🤦🏼♀️) in my kitchen and my son is even stomping and dancing around singing Fire Song. I'm so proud of you, Jess. In a mother-ish kinda way. I know your own mom must be proud of you. Keep doing your thing. You're going to be the best mama one day too. I truly wish the best for you and Sean as you go through life. You're one of the good ones. To thine own self be true. God bless you, beautiful girl. 🩷✝️🙌

Wake up, wake up, this ain't just a dream The smoke is filling up the room, can you smell the kerosene? Let go, let go, there's nothing left to save There's poppin' in the timbers and the sky's about to cave If we leave now we won't come back at all Till it's all burned down and the bones are charred And the moon is black as coal It's too late now to try and count the cost What's done is done, what's lost is lost Look up, look up, the flames are getting higher The devil's in the details and the truth is in the fire Take heart, take heart, the rain'll come around The ashes of our innocence return to holy ground If we leave now we won't come back at all Till it's all burned down and the bones are charred And the moon is black as coal It's too late now to try and count the cost What's done is done, what's lost is lost What's done is done, woah If we leave now we won't come back at all Till it's all burned down and the bones are charred And the moon is black as coal It's too late now to try and count the cost What's done is done, what's lost is lost What's done is done is done Wake up, wake up, it's not a dream, oh no
