No, Detroit is like that. People don't understand how the grime and the crime and the struggle makes you stronger and makes the bonds stronger. I'm proud to be from the dirty D. The grit gets in your heart and there is nothing like it anywhere else. I've been from Athens Georgia to Athens Greece, From Louisville to London and sometimes I'm away for years but the Motor City is in my soul. Yes it's a fucking cesspool but it's my cesspool and I know that if I can survive as a ginger in Brightmoor, I can survive anywhere.

Everything that makes us human was there: Our flaws, our struggles, our overcoming--everything! This song, this moving ballad speaks directly to the heart, speaks directly to the human spirit! Indeed, a song well sang, Ms. Rose-Lynn Harlan (aka, Ms. Jessie Buckley)!

This is probably one of the best "A Star Is Born" stories. Some people might have an issue this taking the concept of A Star Is Born, but honestly I'm fine with it. As long as it's executed it very well and it's well acted, it shouldn't be a problem. I can still enjoy this movie without thinking too much about A Star Is Born. @hoffhomme71062 жыл бұрын
Hi Adriane, funny story in my life many years ago re the "Messy Jessie" thingy you called her. I have a daughter Jessie about 10 years older than Jessie Buckley, so when she was a little tot she had and stilll does have beautiful dark curly almost ringlets hair and today she has two little tots of her own as well as being an artist /painter and grafic designer with her own business. Sorry went off track there, Hah! No, she was always Messy when she was little, at times a little untidy etc. So we tagged her "Messy Jessie" all the time and it stuck to the point of when she grew up into a young woman, (and she was cool with it all) she was just Messy! that's how we addressed her at home. So when her better half came along and before they were married, he, on her 21st birthday surprised her with personalised number plates for her car which she still has over 20 yrs later, and you guessed it..........MESSY. Cheers!!

I’m an old Glasgow, Scotland man who went to your amazingly beautiful country to hike the Appalachian Trail on March 3 this year, spent 4 glorious weeks on it soaking up your scenery, great people, history & especially your C&W music that is so close to our Scots/Irish folk stuff. I was supposed to be hiking for 6 months but had to abandon because of Covid. So, back in old Scotland watching Ozark on Netflix! Here’s a pic of my Queen of the Ozarks xx images.app.goo.gl/yYB9JyfWyfzswQWG8

@@johnnywalker2022 it's not the scenery, it's the narrow minded politics that keep lashing out that run the state, and of course our state is always going to be remember as the state from where The Duggars live. Just would be nice to be known for our scenery, Johnny Cash, and places where certain films were made.

Great performance from Jessie Buckley. Brilliant! Loved the songs and the story.

Just saw the movie and loved it. This song is brilliant, and having lived in Glasgow for a few years it certainly brought back memories.
