After hearing this song i had to listen to the album and yes it is an absolute gem of an album, for me at least, she reminds me of Sam Smith on his Nirvana EP, SZA and Alessia Cara. also reading the lyrics the challenges part may not be a reach, the salvage line and the way EM enunciates challenges can make it into the car reference and growing up in Motor City, i can see how salvage and the tone of the music being where one always thinks we are to far gone or totaled, the other can see the beauty in the wreckage.
