The walking on walls thing wasn't just a limited time glitch. I remember doing this all the time when I played the game. You just click on the very top of the door, your penguin will start walking towards it. Then before you walk out the door, you click on the map in the lower left hand corner. When you exit out of the map, your penguin is on top of the door. I don't remember how I found this out, but I feel like it was pretty common.

Hello there! Here’s the story of how I got banned from Club Penguin! One day, I was playing CP on my dad’s iPad. I saw a group of penguins talking about how much they loved the game. Since I was a little kid, I didn’t know that I couldn’t say certain words on the game. I said “I love this game!” seconds later, it logged me out. I told my dad CP wasn’t working and he said “I just got an email that your account has been disabled/banned.” I cried and cried that night. I never, ever, EVER got a new account. 😔
