Jessika came to our church and taught the best message! A father in our church said it was the best message he had ever heard in his life! I have so much respect for her. Will Hart these Greenroom interviews helped me so much through 2020 but, now.... they are so anointed! Thank you for your team and all your good work.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for honoring women AND men! The disrespectful and dismissive attitude towards men in the Church is alarming. I agree that society is influencing women in the Church. God views men and women as equally valuable and honorable, and He loves us all. We need to view men and women in the same way. I am a 72 yo woman who has walked with Jesus for 41 years. I’ve seen a lot in the Body of Christ through the years. Thank you so much for this conversation, Jessika and Will.

I encountered God by Him giving me His joy! Like a basketful of joy dumped on my head! Each person is unique in their relationship with the Lord and in their encounters! We need to get rid of criticism and negativity! Wow! I know Jesus and that makes me very happy all the time! He adores me and sings over me! What He thinks and says to me is what matters! Let His Word be a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your pathway! Becoming like Jesus more and more! Learn to love and watch your tongue! Have Jesus eyes!

I completely agree Jess. My main concern has been women taking on the feminism of the culture and bitterness. Sometimes in all female gatherings, I have felt a pressure to agree with this feminist bent perspective. If you don’t agree, it can be perceived as if you are blind to what’s really taking place or you don’t really support women. I think we need to have a more balanced, healthy perspective.

Not trying to argue against the point because I have experienced godly ministry through women like Heidi, but in Timothy, chapter 2 wouldn’t the references to Adam and Eve, directly after the instruction for these women mean that Paul was referencing an overall teaching, and not just one for that specific church.

I'm still up in the air on the issue of women in ministry. I will say churches tend to be filled with more women than men. So many more women are preaching now. My prediction is that in 30 years most pastors will be women and church will become kind of a women's club, and men will no longer lead because men typically stay away from spiritual leadership. I think that would be sad. I thank you for this discussion. I'm going to check out Craig Keener.

I suggest my short and free essay on Deborah. Reply for it if desired. Men and women are perfectly equal spiritually. That is how a woman could judge men of their sins, including homicide. She was a pastor, according to the scriptures. This is how the Judges are described in Chronicles. To say a woman can be a Judge over Israel, but a woman can't be an elder in a small church, just doesn't make any sense scripturally.

Complementarianism does not allow women to preach. I think Jessika is more egalitarian. Feminism is to dominate men, I use to define it as to support women wherever they are…but I believe women are co-laborers, co-leaders, nothing of subservient. Masculine traits in character is needed in leadership but so is vulnerability. I served in military and ministry so many times the oppression is sooo bad that women can get very determined to go full in with vengeance. However when we stand firm with God and his calling He will make a way-women are in the story of glory and on adventures God called her too as well!
@user-iz8np3vv4i
@user-iz8np3vv4i Жыл бұрын
Complementarianism That false and confusing teaching, that states Christian women are less than Christian men in a spiritual way, but they really aren't, but they really are. The complementarian teaching prohibits a Christian woman from holding certain positions in a church. They can't be elders neither can they teach men. So why is that? The false teaching makes it clear that the priesthood of the New Covenant is tiered. There is a hierarchy. Those that are higher, the men, can be in leadership positions, like elder. They can teach other men. Those in the lower tier can not be in leadership positions, like elder. They are prohibited from teaching men, because the men are in the higher tier. It wouldn't make any sense. A new believer is automatically assigned their level, higher or lower, at the moment of salvation, as a birthright. Their gender determines their tier. A Christian can not move to a higher or lower tier. A Christian that is in the lower tier (woman) is not allowed to complain of the tier she was placed in. That would be sin, because God made her a woman by His choice. She should accept and also embrace her position in the lower tier. A church, is either a group of Christian men or a group of Christian men and women. A church can never be a group of Christian women, because it would be a group of only those in the lower tier. It would have no elders. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. -excerpt 1 Peter 2 Since the teaching states that women are spiritually inferior to men, but they aren't, but they are, when did that start? But I do not allow a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet. For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve. And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a wrongdoer. -excerpt 1 Timothy 2 It started with the first woman. She was deceived, and sinned because of it. So we have a teaching that accepts that men and women are fallen beings. Both genders are sinful by nature. However women are different. They are lacking the ability that men have to judge if some situation, some concept or teaching is sinful. This inability was passed down from Eve to all women. It remains to this day. A woman in our time was 'lacking' from birth, even from the womb. So what can be done? Nothing according to Complementarianism. That is because an anointing of that powerful masculine being called the Holy Spirit, is just not sufficient. Even the Holy Spirit can not elevate even one Christian woman to the spiritually superior level of a Christian man.

Women & men are definitely of equal value in God's eyes. You need both a man and a woman to conceive a child. Thriving in gentle submission is a journey for both men and women. It is God's intention that men and women are different. May the differences be appreciated as evidence of God's creativity and wisdom. A man's voice sounds different from a woman's. The effect that a father has on his children is different from the mother's. Both are so equally important. Female leadership is certainly Biblical but it is meant to be different in experience and effect from male leadership. It remains dependent on male leadership yet not beneath it in value and impact. Female leadership is inspiring, inviting, and beautiful in its own way, uniquely capturing or enlivening a body of believers in a way that gives glory to God. It shouldn't be surprising that it may look different in the church that it does in the world. I think in these current times as gender neutrality ideology is spreading in influence, it's important not to judge or fear one another for being more traditional or more modern. Let us remain no matter what the light-keepers for the world. Let us influence the world more than it influences us. Let us have faith that God can use our quietness as much as our voices. I appreciated this conversation and the thought-provoking subject. God bless you both for your sincerity and courage. Perfect love casts out all fear.

Remember that there were also times when there were female leaders in the Bible, and we are to recognize and honor and respect the gifts that God gives to people, so if a woman has the gift of leadership, then let her lead where God puts her and don't quench the Spirit.
