Great tutorial! You are such a good teacher. You don't just show us how to sew it; you also provide us with tips of what to not do, what is the best way to sew, and what to do if things go awry. I've wanted one of these, but to add a small strap to it. This way if I am going on a short trip somewhere, I don't have to carry my purse or my cards in my pocket. I'd have a small wallet to wear as a crossbody and go. It would also be great to wear under your jacket if walking. Thank you for posting this!

I love this pattern. I do not sew vinyl though and my quilted cotton wallets turn out great. I do you use a pinking rotary blade and pinking shears to help with freeing and one of my other favorite tools is a roller press. I do a lot of quilted fabric and recommend these options. Thank you Jess for another great tutorial. ❤️

As soon as I got my pattern I made an all-cotton version so I can get the hang of the process. As soon as I finished I realized that this can function as a small clutch. Fits my iphone mini (the side gusset will stick out a little bit) and with cards and some cash I can go out on errands just with this. Will make another with vinyl exterior next, cant wait!

Hi Jessica. I would like to know if one was to use RFID fabric … where and how would you put it in a wallet. Didn’t know if you had used this before? There is an RFID fabric that is fusible and I was wondering if it was used as a backing in card slots - could it just be in back of credit card slots (cut to fit the finished slots) OR a piece has to be placed the length of the wallet instead. Thank you for your time in making these tutorials.

I made this wallet tonight and had a lot of trouble. I used vinyl for the outside. Quilted cotton on the inside, I did heavy stabilizer for the outside pieces of the wallet. I followed the pattern like you showed in your video., I'm not sure why I had so much trouble with the vinyl as it got bulkier. Really disappointed because I thought this wouldn't be so bad. Any advice for the next time I use vinyl? Thanks in advance.

Just had to buy the pattern. Just sewed me Demi Wallet and was not 100% good, but nice enough for me. But mom wants an equally small one and this one is perfect. 😊 I think I have to make one for myself too😂 But i have looked on several great videos you make where you put on the zipper pull, I’m wondering how you manage that without there being any particular hole in the middle? (Right next to the zipoerhead) So much easier to sew when both ends of the zipper are properly together😊 Can't make it ...

I have a question related to your juki machines. I saw a video yours with your 1541s. I’m considering this machine. It’s between the 1541 and the 1181N. I would be using for bag making, vinyls, leather, thicker material or several layers. What advice can you give me, or which would you suggest in your opinion? Thanks so much!

Hi. Thanks for this tutorial. I really want to try, but top stitching around curves is so sloppy for me, I just can’t get it right. Do you have any tips? I noticed that your sewing machine foot looks different than mine is that a special foot that helps you sew around the curves?

Can I use faux leather instead of vinyl? If yes, would it still need to be interfaced?
@OklaRoots2 жыл бұрын
You definitely can! It just depends on how thick your faux leather is. If it's pretty stiff on its own, then you could skip the interfacing.
