Coco gets me everytime, both my mom and grandma passed after different battles with illnesses that affected their memories. Also, watching that movie reminds me of my time working in healthcare and seeing the benefits of music therapy with dementia patients. My sister was visiting for Halloween, we didn't go trick or treating for long, it was way too cold, but my daughter still managed to get quite the candy haul this year.

I don’t think so. Quarantine alone would be worse than quarantining with family. I’m glad I had my husband with me. Also he never got it and stayed by my side the entire time.

Have a "Festive Fall" costume party! We have one every year in between Halloween and Thanksgiving. Its a potluck thats themed and a Creative dessert eating\making contest that's become a "thing". Everyone comes in costume love it because we either borrow from friend, get ideas from Halloween or go shop clearance.

@@Girlmama1998 yes I get that because I'm vaccinated and still got covid. Vaccine doesn't stop you from getting covid like the flu shot doesn't stop you from getting the flu it helps your body fight it easier because it builds antibodies so you're less likely to die from it. I'm not a moron. It doesn't grant you immunity but it is a start to helping less people lose their lives from it. Nothing is a 100% but wouldn't you rather having some antibodies to help fight the virus than not? My family just like Jessica was vaccinated and only symptoms we had were loss of taste and smell and sneezing. Would things have been worse without the vaccine? Yes it could have been I lost my father just two months ago from COVID.

Early squad! (I've come back after watching the video, and the part where they made a mini offrenda was so sweet. My grandpa passed on Halloween in 2009, and while I don't remember much because I was only 5, I know it was a hard time for my mom. She was actually already with him as we lived about 7 hours away from him at the time, and he hadn't been doing well, so she had driven up a few days prior. The only thing I can rememberis coming home from trick or treating and my dad getting a call from my Mom, and then packing up suitcases for us so we could leave in the morning. Every year on Halloween she puts his picture out on our front table. I miss him, and every now and then I get sad thinking about how he never got to meet my little brother or cousin, or how he won't be at my wedding, or just how much I miss him. I was his first granddaughter, and he loved me more than anything in this world. I hear stories all the time about how much he loved me, and how much he would love me now, but I wish I could remember more on my own. But that's the great part about Dia de Los Muertos, is remembering those you've lost, and how much they mean to you.)

having Covid on Halloween is not fun. I had Covid on Halloween all the way through my birthday and the whole month of November. I was supposed to go to Disney for my birthday last November I was so devastated because I was supposed to go April of 2020, and then change it to November 2020 that had to get canceled. but I’m finally going in December. hopefully nothing happens and it doesn’t have to get rescheduled for the third time! much love Jess I know it’s hard without all of your kids.

Last year during covid for Halloween we did a glow in the dark Easter egg hunt. Just incase anyone needs ideas for a future Halloween. They wore their costumes. They had glow sticks and flash lights and they hunted for eggs at night. We even put some glow sticks and blinking lights inside some of the eggs.

I tested positive for Covid pneumonia on Halloween and 16 days later and I am still on oxygen. Be happy you didn’t get it so bad. I had to have a Ct scan of my chest to make sure I didn’t have blood clots. I’m so glad your better.
