Great topic, Jess! I am similar to you where the bags that I am not in love with anymore I sell to free up space and funds to buy a new bag. As I've been collecting, my style has changed over time and it's so helpful to be able to move on the pieces I don't carry to continue to allow my style to adapt :]

The whole bags are an investment is a lie and by the time ppl wake up to this lie, they will swimming in debt and hoarded bags they call collections. Even Hermes, the older the year the lower the value. It won’t have more value over time.

Hi Jess! I sold 13 bags this year from July to just last week! It’s a lot of work!! But I really do enjoy finding “the bag” so, buying and selling even though it’s a lot of work it’s worth it. I just wish there wasn’t always another “must have” bag!! Everytime I think I’ve found the ultimate bag…here comes another one lol

Hey Jess! I wish i was better at selling bags lol! I find the whole process very stressful and overwhelming that sometimes i dont even try. Couple that with my hoarding tendancies i just keep adding to my collection rather than one in and one out rule. Plus none of my bags are trending anyways 😅. Great video! 👍

A lot of these bags have classic motifs and a lot of them are also quite limited and hard to get, so I think even when the “trend dies”, as long as they keep them exclusive, the resale value won’t drop too much - maybe people won’t be able to make a profit from selling them, but instead just break even or sell at a minor loss

I do wonder if The Row handbags will continue in popularity. Will the Margaux be considered a classic in like 10 years? Maybe. I am impressed at how many people love that bag and the Row in general. I would definitely keep any vintage Chanel bags but get rid of any new ones that have the awful craftsmanship. Ha! I would not buy a Goyard😂

Hi Jess .You look great in that color. Regarding Chanel Kelly, just wanted to mention that it is not entirely new or trendy style . There is a vintage version unlike Gabrielle, Chanel 19, Chanel 22 or vanity which enable it to be more of classic and timeless style . But who knows?
