Age gap marriages were either arranged between a high powered priest/ politician or a girl was an orphan and/or barren and a few select specific reasons none of which included us 20-somethings saying "When I grow up, I want to marry someone as OLD as my dad!" Nobody has ever had to convince a younger person not to involve themselves with someone already showing signs of aging. So stop the delusions. It is. Unfortunately most people are basically trifling. They don't WANT to see people adjacent to them thrive or have success. It makes them feel like losers. Which, literally; they are. You should be able to count your friends on one hand. The rest are acquaintances, they have an opportunity to EARN their way into your life and vicinity, with their ACTIONS. Boundaries. Set then now and make them rigid. As your life improves, watch the ones who are pained by your joy, watch the ones who say "she thinks she's this and she think she's that" and cut them off. Look at their asses in 10 years and a GUARANTEE you they will be in the same place. Go. Fly. Find your level. You don't owe anyone anything. That includes family.

Instead I began praying that God would make it very clear to me when I met the right guy. And He did. The moment I met my Husband I knew my life would never be the same. I really hope more beautiful black homes & families tied together by marriage, stability, loyalty come from KS channel, more black women who understand the importance of some femininity even if they want to express their voice or power. The importance of not engaging with their partners in an argumentative combative *ready to fight you & take you out so I can win ;)* way instead of seeing the man as a partner they have to solve problems with, compromise instead of heading towards divorce or withholding sex or intimacy as a bargaining chip. I really hope KS inspires black men to recognize the situation they're in, how much America is still against them having a strong successful family unit with an American born black women, it so desperately wants black men to marry hispanic or white women thinking they're easier to deal with while they just have easier circumstances. The world didn't force them to naturally develop a lot of defense mechanisms & aggression for how cruel & unforgiving it is for black women. I hope they learn to have civil conversations with their women, teach them how to behave well & treat them instead of taking every little thing the women says to heart. If the women isn't willing to follow him he needs to find a new one who will, get all their **** together, collect resources & find a women who values them, building a future together. America wants black men to be in the prison system, dead young, addicted to drugs or alcohol, or the few left that made it in life? To marry women they think will respect & love them more when they didn't even look at him when he had nothing. I want to imagine there will be a lot less baby mommas in the future, a lot less single black women having to raise millions of more kids without a healthy loving household. A house where they never have to see any fights or their parents have a divorce. A lot less lost men with no identity, only trying endlessly to express their hypersexuality to feel more fulfilled in life or masculine, desperately searching for something they don't even know what it is.
