JMC is a very nice college, trust me. The infra, the food of canteen, the faculty and most importantly the crowd- everything’s good. The only thing which undermines it is that it’s pretty strict (partially because it’s a girls’ convent college and partially because of our current principal ). I get your frustration regarding so many restrictions even though the fest wasn’t organised on a grand scale, even we felt that it was too much. But all of this is because our principal is very strict and wasn’t even allowing us initially to organise the fest. She didn’t allow for any big artist and obviously put a lot of restrictions.

Hey di, I have been allotted JMC for BA Eng Hons! I am not from Delhi so if you could please give any idea about pg's near the college? Also, when did physical verification take place when you were taking admission? Well after the classes started or before that? Because last year IPCW did that two months after seat allocation. Would really appreciate your help! Thank you

@@a-meme-come-true hi So mostly people from JMC (especially first years) tend to live in Satya Niketan in pgs or flats. It’s a student area for south campus students. It’s at distance of 20min walk to college but mostly people take an auto from durgabai metro station exit. You can also choose to live in Anand Niketan but it’s quite expensive. As for the physical verification, it depends college to college and you’ll be notified about it. For my batch last year, our physical verification was done on the very first day of college itself. And from the second day, our classes had begun.

@@aafiahamid6156 orientation usually happens after a few days so parents aren’t allowed. I think they’re allowed on the first day of college but I’m not sure! Last year, I did see a lot of parents coming to college with their children on the first day of college.
