this was Reverend Cleveland's last group that he recorded with before he transitioned. The messenger started going on tour in 1983 although they were organized on October 2, 1982. According to an interview with business manager: mother Natalie Cleo Harris , Harris states that the first rehearsal was on October 2, 1982. Harris also stated that there were 75 people present at the first rehearsal.

Is that Richard Smallwood on the piano? Kinda looks like him from a distance
@gnjpastorsmall10294 жыл бұрын
No, it’s not him. The gentleman is really good, and I guess kind of looks like him from a distance (well, same complexion anyway) - but no, it was not him. 🙂

Will please tell what the lady are saying at the end? We used to sing this song back in the 90s
@mparker99839 жыл бұрын
Antonio Hill Good evening. The ladies have 3 parts they are singing. Part 1 is made the lain to walk. Part 2 is made the blind to see. Part 3 is I;ll tell everyone I see. This song has been a favorite of mine since the early 90's. Have a blessed night.

Christian Scott Sorry, it’s been about 10 years since this was recorded. I have forgotten the gentleman’s name. He played for the LA Messengers and I haven’t seen him in a while. I’ll ask Pastor Quincey Fielding, Jr. when I see him what his name is.

Greater New Jerusalem thanks no problem - such a similarity in their playing style and looks. God bless and thanks again

Please someone tell me what the piano player's name is. I want to buy his record!

I think it's Mr. Kurt Carr. He actually played the keyboard for the Los Angeles gospel messengers when Reverend Cleveland and the messengers were on tour. Quincy Fielding Junior, Calvin Bernard RONE, and mother Harris enjoyed Kurt Carr piano playing.

Eric Reed on piano (Kurt Carr was not at this concert).
@marryIsfake964 Жыл бұрын
@@ryansmall5750 thank you Ryan. I thought he was because Kurt Carr used to be a musician for the messengers also Pastor Calvin Bernard RONE was a musician for the messengers even the Cleveland singers. And Michael Harris was a singer for the messengers. including Marcy block.
