In Luke 10:19 believers are given the same authority over the enemy. Hallelujah! We must remember Jesus in this teaching as we pray against unclean spirits in others. Very excellent teaching with the illumination of Greek definition. Thank you Pastor Renner.

LOVED this!!! I am especially interested in sound, biblical teaching on authority over demon spirits. The fact that the man in the “church” appeared as normal, but had been enslaved by something "that now had HIM" was so interesting. But Jesus set Him free! And on yesterday's broadcast, when I heard where Jesus said, “This day is this Scripture fulfilled in your ears,” I was STRUCK by His boldness and His willingness to stand as one, alone, with the Father. I was truly smitten in my heart - and I pray for Him to make me more bold to stand for Him.

Jesus's possession of authority allowed him to dispossess the man.

Maybe the demon knew Jesus would be there, and was trying to get Jesus into a conversation , which Jesus didn't do.
