After a sleepover in middle school with a friend of mine, I had to go to church with his family the next morning. It ended up being the same church as my Piano teacher. I remember seeing people prostrating on the ground, openly sobbing and pledging themselves to their Jesus Club. There's no joke here. That shit was scary. Several people grabbed me and asked me questions about Faith, Death and where I saw myself going. I was literally 13. I just kind of hid until the service was over. The next day at school, my friend berated me for being "disrespectful". I punched him in the mouth and got suspended from school. We weren't friends after that, and several years later that church was shut down. This Jesus Club offered by Matt and Ryan, definitely exists.
