So many people don't understand how fervently Peter denied Jesus. Not only did Peter deny him three times, but on the third time that he was accused of being a follower of Jesus, he got violent and cursed he said that he did not know who Jesus was, trying to convince the people that he didn't know Jesus.

Because Jesus is God as John chapter 1 clearly states. Even Jesus said before Abraham was, I am. Caiaphas the high priest asked Jesus are you going to answer to these accusations about you, are you the Messiah? You are right. There are a number of movies with this scene and the actors were far better than this. I can't remember the name of this one specific movie I saw when I was just a kid but it casts Jeffery Hunter as Jesus. Superb acting on everbodys part.
