I just stumbled upon your channel. I am a bilagáana and grew up on the rez and this brought tears to my eyes as soon as I heard it. Our church(and school) was half Navajo and English. I remember singing this as a child. One of the few songs I still remember from this time.

Thank you for posting this! My mom and I sang this in Pastor Jerry's Church in Tohatchi growing up! Brings back so many memories. My mother died of cancer a couple years ago (just thought it was weird that people were talking about cancer in the comments). It made me feel like I needed to comment. I used to listen to this song and cry because I missed her. I know that Jesus called her home. She had cancer three times before and she was healed those times by Jesus! Our God is mighty to save and He's the only Healer! I knew it was different the fourth time because she kept saying she "was tired" and she never said she was tired... like she knew she didn't want to go to the hospital anymore. I am so grateful to Jesus for everything. I am alive today because he lives! I got to be with my mother when she left this world and felt God's presence... like a rushing mighty wind. It never crossed my mind to be afraid of touching her.... never feared any of that superstition being promoted by our people. I have Jesus and I don't need to fear because he goes before and behind. I guess you're right, it's awesome being a Navajo Rebel! I never posted to your channel before because I noticed you had not posted for awhile... within the time I've been watching. My husband was trying to teach our daughter Dineh and using your channel. I never thought to watch until one day we were all sitting together and I noticed this video! Jesus is why im alive. Because im no longer addicted to drugs or alcohol. Say what you want but when jesus stepped in to my life he changed everything in my heart. I use to have hate now i have only love. He reminds me everyday i have the royalty of heaven flowing through my vains. When i say im not worth anything He calls me a son. A son of the living God.i no longer struggle with depression because of him cause Jesus said by my wounds you are healed.
