I think that Jesus was writing on the ground, the names and the sins committed by those on- lookers that were about to cast the stone on the adulteress woman in the story. They were ashamed. They realized that they too should be stoned for their iniquities. The lesson here is we are all sinners. If they wanted to be forgiven, then she should be forgiven too. Otherwise, they would be stoning themselves, of course not literally. but, in their hearts, their conscience would bleed. They had to drop those stones.🙏

For those places that have calenders that have Monday as the first day and Sunday as the seventh day. If they observe Sunday as holy according to they calender I think they are keeping the sabbath correctly. Because they observe the seventh day as holy according to they calender. The bible says the sabbath is the seventh day. I have never seen the word Saturday or Sunday in the bible.

Hello friend, Something fascinating about the new covenant … Hebrews 8:10 “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” God wants to write His law on our hearts. We are saved by grace. No one has ever been saved by their works. God has only and always had one way to save mankind "the everlasting gospel" Do we still have sin in the world today? How does the Bible define sin? It says sin is lawlessness, breaking God's law. 1 John 3:4 It's clear from the Bible, Matthew 1:21 that Jesus came to save us from sin and he intends to, with our cooperation remove sin from our lives. He intends to give us victory over every sin that besets us. He will not leave us in the same mess He found us in. It's unbiblical to think God saves us and then leaves us to stay in bondage to sin. So if I know that stealing is a sin and I refuse to stop where does that leave me? In rebellion. Rev. 3:5 is clear, "He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life…" A true saving relationship with Christ leads to a life of obedience to His commands and that includes His Ten Commandments. This is evidence of walking with Christ, not something we do to earn salvation. The Sabbath is a gift of resting in Christ, and the Bible gives us abundant evidence to pinpoint that day. The Scripture is also clear, there is another power that has attempted to change that day of rest and it will lead to a final choice for mankind in the end. Worship God according to His Commandments or Worship the beast on the day he has chosen. The apostles never promoted Sunday worship and Jesus never instituted a new day of worship. Jesus wrote the sins of her accuser in the sand, sand is not fixed, which means, their sins can be erase also.

@Patrick I don't believe so. God created the position of the days for e.g the first day or the 6th day as in the creation story. That's standard and man cannot change that order or reorder the position of the days to create their own worship roster. That's changing times and laws. Only the Creator can change the chronology of creation. Since the naming of the days, the seventh day was called Saturday and that cannot change..so it's not the name but the position or day number as God numbered them.

God didn't say; just pick any savior you want. Jesus Christ is the only One. God didn't say pick any day you want for the sabbath. God blessed and sanctified the Seventh Day Sabbath. Follow Jesus Christ and live or follow the dictates of man and loose eternal life.
