Jesus's Compassion to Heal

In the early 90’s, my son was accepted into the officer program for the Marine Corps. We dropped him off on the day he was to travel to training, and I cried all the way home. As I was crying, the Lord spoke to me and said, “I love to restore sons to mothers.” And he reminded me of meeting the widow burying her son, and the times in the Old Testament when He raised sons from the dead and gave them back to their mothers. A few weeks later my son decided not to continue in that program and came back home to finish college.

I often recall what a complete and total mess I was when I got saved and yet Jesus responded instantly when I called His name out of my desperation. I thought it was all over for me that night, but - and I will never understand this - Jesus gave me life again, His life, the only life worth having. This video gives me a lot to think about. How can I receive His compassion and let it sink in…I feel I am stuck in self judgement and criticism and need to have on myself too?

Hi Julie, I have felt that way before. What helps me is to pray and ask God to show me His love for me and His goodness while reading the Bible. Whatever stands out to me, I write it, say it out loud and think about it throughout the day. I hope this helps. He paid the price to set you free from condemnation.

I have stumbled onto your channel, from 'Teach YHWH' (I hope that is ok?) I'm an elder from a church in England, and I just love talking about Jesus! So much so, I have recently started a channel devoted to Him. I do street preaching, sermons and Bible study, all with videos. I have subscribed to Teach YHWH and she has subscribed to my channel, and she also shares my videos.
